Every student that I have talked with at Fort always amazes me with their talents, their goals, and their heart!
I am grateful to work at Fort and to get the opportunity to serve all you amazingly fabulous students!

what i love about fort students is that even though this year is different people at fort have yet to take it out on other people.

I'm a freshman this year at Fort and at first I originally thought that high school would be full of mean, cold people but when I actually got to Fort and started building relationships with new people from all different atmospheres, I realized that most people I've encountered at fort are compassionate and caring as well as inclusive and welcoming. This has given me more confidence to meet more and more students at Fort and now I'm more extroverted than ever before thanks to the support of fellow Fort students.

What i love about the kids at fort is that they work really hard to be the best they can be through these rough times and yet the kids still try and make it work.

What I love about Fort students is EVERYTHING! But the thing I love the most is how real they are. Fort students have a real understanding of people and the world around them. They love deeply and fiercely and would do anything for the people they love. Fort students are warriors and champions! I could not be more fortunate than to be a teacher of Fort students. <3

Over the course of my 4 years at Fort, the thing I love about my peers the most has been our spirit. Almost everyone participated in spirit weeks and attended all different sports events. The energy of the students cheering on their teams from the stands was inexplicable; because, though not all of us knew each other well, when showing love, appreciation and pride for our school, it didn't matter. And I can't wait for incoming students to be able to experience that.

I wouldn't want to teach ANYWHERE else. Our students have had life experiences in their short lives so far that have made them to be strong and resilient. They show empathy, love and acceptance to all. I truly look forward to coming to work and learning from my students and their points of view.

I love the daily examples I see of Fort students caring for each other and pushing themselves to be better, everyday.

I love that Fort students show strength when faced with adversity.

I love that Fort students show pride in their community and their school.

I love that Fort students know how important it is to advocate for themselves and to help others when they see help is needed.

I am so proud of you all. :)

It's so much fun to see you all in the library that this year has been miserable for me with the library pretty much closed.. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of you in the library next year! I love having books that you like to read. I love hearing your suggestions for a good book for the library. I love it when you come in and tell me you enjoyed a book. I love it when you ask me questions. Have a great summer! See you next year!!

Fort kids are rockstars! They overcome so much to succeed. They are leaders who lead from a place of understanding and respect for others and their experiences. But most of all what I experience over and over from these students is COMPASSION for others! They are amazing!
