How do you feel about parents putting pressure on their children to do this?
My mom owns a business in dentistry and wants me to take over the business when she retires. However, I do not want to become a dentist when I grow up, and my mom is still supportive of my dreams and enrolls me into programs that can help me achieve my dream. She enrolls me into activities like theatre and choir. I feel like parents should not put pressure on their children to follow in their footsteps. Children should have the power to control what they want to do in life. In some cases if the child wants to work in the same career as their parents, the parents can push them to become their best in that career.

2.Who are your heroes/role models and how do they influence you?
My role model is Kirstin Maldonado, singer of Pentatonix, an acapella group. Growing up, she did choir and theatre just like me. She has achieved so much over the course of her career like winning three Grammys and having Platinum albums. A year ago, she played Lauren in Kinky Boots, a Broadway musical. Seeing her on that stage made me work harder to achieve my dreams, since she also had a similar experience in performing arts. I got the chance to see her in the show in April 2018 and she was amazing. I also got the chance to meet her, and she was so sweet. Additionally, she is really inspiring and talks about different subjects like how we can be able to accept who we are.
