Whether one is disabled or not, belonging in a community is human nature. Whether conscious of it or not, one is in a community that has certain barriers or struggles that may belong with it. For the instance of Crip Camp, Camp Jened is a community for the disabled teenagers to come together and experience what a normal life as a teenager should be. Away from all the noise and hatred of society, this was an environment where everyone was treated equally and fairly despite what someone may have or be going through. For instance, the film sheds light on the hierarchy within the disabled comminity. Simply, it was based on a measurement of how "normal" someone was. Polios were at the top because they seemed
the most normal, then it was CPs, but at Camp Jened everyone was the same. No matter the circumstance, everyone loved each other for who they were and their presence at camp. 
Therefore, this sense of belonging hit home to me. As someone who enjoys being in different communities whether it is friend groups or extracurriculars, I take away from Crip Camp the importance of belonging and helping those around you to feel the same way. Despite his initial moments of not understanding and appreciating sushi because it was something so new to the Mexican culture that he has lived and grown up on. However, as the film progresses and Juana's father can see the drive and love Juana's goal of becoming a sushi chef is, he gradually becomes more and more supportive to Juana and her ambitions. The last scene in the movie where Juana’s father is sitting with Chef Aki and Juana’s daughter eating sushi as Juana is up at the front making sushi as a sushi chef at Osaka was delightful to see. Not only did it expose the white supremacist movement and ideologies, but it displayed the divide in America due to race. This was eye-opening to see the dialogue and perspective of the KKK and how they view themselves and others. The last scene of the KKK doing the burning of the cross is bewildering. They did this after a failed attempt by their members to kill Patrice, the president of the black student union. Not only was it a failure, but it killed two of their own men. I notice how resilient the KKK and its members were to outside information or factors impusing in their beliefs and movement. They were very strict on who is pure white and who isn’t. They were playing God with their beliefs. I wonder why Connie was put in charge to set the bombs up at Patrice’s home. Was this because Felix did not want to be personally charged for this event if it was the case that he would have done it. I wonder if Felix did really love Connie or was she simply another character that he was able to manipulate in order to advance the beliefs and actions of himself and the KKK. It first dives into the role of racism within the workplace, and how certain races are better supported in the workspace from a consumer level. However, the most important message of this film is the need for morality over financial gain in the workspace.
I noticed that Cassius only realized what he was doing was immoral when he stumbled across Worry Free's half horse half humans and the plan to multiply this to make Worry Free more successful. This was too late. Even speaking literally, when he eagerly took the line of the substance due to his excitement that he was getting promoted, not knowing what the effect of the substance would soon become- it would eventually turn him into one of these “workers” for Worry Free. I feel like this film is an exaggeration from reality, but it is done so on purpose as it leaves a deep thought in the audience’s mind that personal financial gain is nowhere close to the importance of morality and basic human needs in the workplace are a necessity that everyone deserves. If this film is the only way that people will realize that morals in the workplace are a priority, I hope people understand now. I wonder why society has a trend of waiting around for something to happen or a tragic event to take place in order for reform to happen. Society must come together now to demand a safe and morally correct working environment for everyone. It does not matter the level of the position or how good someone is at their job, everyone deserves basic necessities and a morally just working environment.
