With the 8th and 14th amendment challenges the case was heard again. Harris makes a argument that there wasent a minimum age set for the death penalty so there shouldent be one for life imprisonment, this was an invalid argument so Harris moved on to his next point. Harris next argues that his confession should have been excluded because the police took it before notifying his father that he had been arrested.

The end of the case proves that children under the age of 16 can go to prison for life without the possibility of parole depending on the crime. A crime that Harris committed did get him life in prison. Masse revived the same sentence.
