Set in 1878 about Marie van Goethem, it is the historical fiction story of the girl behind Degas' famous statuette, Little Dancer, Aged Fourteen, and her older sister, Antoinette. I was a dancer and still teach ballet so really enjoyed the ballet aspect and the story of how hard life was at the Paris Opera for the girls who danced there.

This book is like a grownup version of the Hunger Games. It is a dystopian science fiction story about a caste system that organizes all of humanity into colors ranging from Reds at the bottom to Golds at the top. I am nearly done with it. It has been a fantastic read.

This book is the third in the series I started back in November 2024. A lot of the worldbuilding in the series reminds me of rural Appalachia and the coal mines. It is rooted in Scoth-Irish immigrant mentality, but instead of being in Appalachia, it's on Mars. I would highly recommend this whole series.

I just got done reading the Fourth Wing: Empyrean Series! This series is life changing for me because now I am expanding my horizons more when I pick a new book to read. Just a heads up though..Fourth Wing is an easy read that is more on the lines of "no thinking needed", not saying you do not have to pay attention it is just an easier read than books two and three. Which...you better pay attention in those! Long story short..I am OFFICIALLY a Romantacy girl! If anyone wants to start a Fourth Wing Club here...let's talk!

An absolutely fantastic follow-up to Morning Star. This whole series is phenomenal. I grew up on the Hunger Games and this feels like a more grown-up version of that.

This is a great worldbuilding book for Terry Brooks's Shannara Chronicles. It's a fantasy setting that takes place after humankind has fallen due to the resurgence of magic in our own world. It's a wonderful series that has a lot of great storylines, as well as interesting magics and characters.
