• Islam is a religion that divided into three categories which is Islam ( the five pillars ), Iman ( the six articles of faith ) and Ihsan ( excellent, the highest level )

• We can manage to balance between belief, practice and character.

• Seeking knowledge with adab ( manners)

• Don't afraid or shy or hesitate to ask. To afraid to say " I do not know ".

• Reminder for us about hereafter ( Hadith Jibril also mention about the last day and its sign, reminding us to prepare for it.

• From the base meaning of usrah we can conclude that it means the communication and interaction between members of a small group talking and experiencing stuff together this fulfills our duty to interact and get to know each other and not discriminate upon a persons skin colour, race or their birth place.

• It also emphasizes the importance of interacting with each other which is considered an ibadah in the eyes of Allah SWT, but only if the activities carried out have something of value to every person and does not contradict with His rules and regulations.

BELIEF IN ALLAH SWT

• Existence ( Allah truly exists, not an imagination or creation of man )

• Oneness ( Allah is one and has no partners. All workship is only for Him )

• Attributes ( Allah possesses perfect attributes and is free from all imperfections )

• Lordship ( Allah is the creator, sustainer, and controller of everything )

• Worship ( Only Allah deserves worship, nothing else )

• Names and Attributes ( We believe in His beautiful names and majestic attributes without distortion, denial, or comparing them to creation.

BELIEF IN MALAIKAH

• Created from light ( Angels are not like humans or jinn. They don't eat, drink, or sleep.

• Always obedient ( They never disobey Allah )

• Different task ( Each angel has a role )

• They are countless ( Only Allah knows their exact number )

BELIEF IN KUTUB

• Purpose of the books ( They were revealed to guide people to worship Allah alone and live righteously )

• The known books ( The Quran- Prophet Muhammad, The Tawrah- Prophet Musa (Moses), The Zabur- Prophet Daud (David), The Injil- Prophet Isa (Jesus) and Other Scrolls- Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Musa.

• Our belief ( We believe all these scriptures were originally from Allah, but except for Quran, the others were altered by humans over time. That's why the Quran came as the final, perfect, and preserved revelation.

• The Quran as the final guide ( It confirms the truth of the previous revelations and corrects the distortions that people made.

BELIEF IN RASUL AND ANBIYA

Definition :

• Belief in Rasul refers to a firm belief that Allah sent a messenger to every nation and to call them to worship Allah alone without any partners. ( Tawhidullah ).

• It is also believing in the sound reports that have been narrated from the messenger.

Application in one's daily life :

• Gratitude.

• Tolerance.

• Repentance.

• Simplicity.

• Equality.

• Moderation.

• Patience.

• Humility.

• Accountability.

• Kindness

BELIEF IN QADA' AND QADAR

Definition :

• Al-Qada' comes from the world qada, which means judged, ordained, executed perfectly. When the things happen, then it becomes Al-Qada'. Al-Qadar is before Al-Qada'. Since it is easy to pronounce, it is used as ' Al Qada' wal-Qadar '.

  
  

Benefits of belief in Qada' and Qadar :

• Peace of mind.

• Your concern is not so much with the past or future. Your main concern is your present actions.

• It gives you the will power and determination to go forward in the way of Allah.

• It teaches you to be modest, humble and content.

• Leads to total dependence upon Allah SWT. You take precautions, do as much as you can and then depend on Him.

• Eliminate bad manners, such as envy jealousy.

• Establish good manner.

BELIEF IN THE HEREAFTER

Definition :

• The life of this world and of all that is in it will come to an end on an appointed day. Everything will be annihilated. That day is called Al-Qiyamah, the last day.

• The entire record of every man and woman including all of their deeds and transgressions will be presented before God for final judgment.

Effect of belief in the last day :

• Demonstrates the completeness, greatness, and uniqueness of Allah's Names and Attributes.

• Increases the love for meeting Allah in the hearts of believers.

• Establishes fear from Allah.

• Support a Muslim in hastening towards good deeds.

• Aids in patience during times of hardship.

IHSAN :

• Ihsan is delivered literally from Arabic word hasana which means to be good, to beautify.

• Hasan means suitable, beautiful, proper or fitting or good.

THE CONCEPT OF IHSAN IN THE QURAN AND HADITH :

• Respect and obedience

• Well treatment

ESCHATOLOGY :

• The concept refers to consequent existence or afterlife. It is closely related to the fifth article of Islamic Faith, which is the belief in life after death.

• Prophet Muhammad S.A.W directed Muslims to believe in resurrection after death and in the Day of Judgement.

• Definition : Eschatology is composed of the Greek eschatos ( last ) and logia ( discourse ).

• According to Ibn Manzur, eschatology also applies to the Arabic akhirah which refers to ' the last ', ' the end ' and ' the state of the hereafter '.

THE CONCEPT OF ESCHATOLOGY IN THE QURAN AND HADITH :

• The issues central to the Quranic message include the cessation and end of this word, the expiration of human life, the resurrection of the dead, the divine judgemen, the accountability for deeds in this life, which effected reward and punishment in the next and God's ultimate and eternal kingdom of the heavens and the earth to be established in a world-to-come.
  

Adab : to refine, to educate, to discipline.

• Adab is not just a quality, it is also a process. It is something that can be learnt and established.

Adab vs Akhlaq : Akhlaq is moral philosophy, while adab is its actual practices.

Adab " addresses what is the proper, or improper, behaviour of man, while the first ( akhlaq ) addresses why such actions are proper or otherwise ( Hashi, 2011, p. 122 ) "..

Adab towards parents and adab with parents :

• mention about prophet Abraham and his father ( conveys deep respect and intense love for one's father ).

" If you knew the importance of adab ( good manners ), you would pray to Allah for more adab, instead of more ( material ) wealth " - Ali ( R.A )
