I found that my beliefs about surveys aren't so simple I thought it may have been.  There are key properties of the survey research, i.e, sampling from a population,( guess I just can't get up and choose as I feel anymore, I must have a specific target etc.) Designing instruments for data collection ( I have to properly structure a way to obtain the information I need, not just ask random questions I think I may need answer but questions that would indeed assist me in the survey.)
