They wanted to become scholars for social stability and a way to move forward and that is their reason for existence. They had work from daylight to sundown and would go to church. They wanted strict laws and wanted only certain people to vote

2. Sailors from Road Island in the 1730s were from the great awakening. The great awakening was a major part of the role of government because the ideas and philosophy from the great awakening renewed how people sought and practiced religions.

3. Scholars at the college of Williams & Mary were from the enlightenment. Their role in the government helped create the basic principles of the U.S. constitution because of ¨natural laws¨ because of scholars like John Locke

1. Farmer in Massachusetts (1690s) Most likely Puritan. The Puritans believed that God had made a covenant with them and that God expected them to live according to the scriptures.
2. Sailor in Rhode Island (1730s) Represents a follower of the great awakening, felt strongly about the idea of salvation and damnation of people and the idea that God was angry for their sins and wrongdoings.
3. Scholar of William and Mary (1720s) Most likely Anglican, but probably supported ideas on life, liberty, and property as well as separating from religion and it's beliefs during which philosophy and support on natural rights was growing. This was before the Great Awakening, so religion was on a decline and people no longer felt as strongly about it as they once had.
