They are exaggerated and comic, but believable nonetheless: the characters deal with losing their virginity, eating disorders, school trips, sexuality, divorce, friendships, and not feeling good enough for their peers.

   It is smart enough to add to the fantasy by turning all of the parents into naive idiots with no idea what their kids were up to, because they were so consumed by the dramas of their own making. This fact gives the show its “us against the world” idea. It is escapist as much as it was realistic.

   The wealth of character traits is a positive thing to add. The public does not have the happy ending that we hope for. At each end of the generation it is up to us to imagine the destiny of each character and to join the pieces that each fan of the series is forced to gather after the many unexpected twists, surpassing or not the losses or destinies of the characters. 

   The serie does not have many special effects like CGI due to the fact that it portrays the routine of teenagers. Moreover, the actor’s performance is amazing, most of them were nominated to movies awards for other roles. 

   Although the series has heavy theme and a huge abuse of drugs, it is a great entertainment. It addresses social taboos that require visibility and need to be talked about.
