The book My Side of the Mountain is a perfect example of nature because in the story, the main character Sam Gribley leaves in house and goes to the woods were he lives in a tree and fends for himself. Sam makes friends with some of the animal while he lives in the woods. He ran away from his home apartment. While he stays in the woods he gathers supplies for the winter.

I believe that Sam is a great example of someone who is one with nature because he leaves his house and lives in the woods. He has nothing, but himself and the wilderness around him. He lives in a tree, and gathers the supplies that will help him live from the wilderness. Sam Gribley is one with nature.

Simplified life

In the book The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch, the main character, Stephen Quinn shows a simplified life. Stephen was a scavenger, someone who walks around the the U.S. and gather scraps for supplies, but after his father gets hurt people from a small town find them. The towns people take care of Stephen's father while he goes to school and tries to fit in. Stephen meets a girl named Jenny who wants to leave the town, but Stephan says it is a dangerous place. After a small war that happened between slavers, a group who wanted to enslave the town, Stephen is given the opposition to stay in the town and he chooses to stay.

I believe Stephen staying in the town shows simplified life because he lived the life of always being on the run, worrying about food, shelter, and meds. He was always thinking about staying alive. Then when he was given the chance to stay in the town, he said yes because he no longer had to worry about food, shelter, meds, and trying to survive.

Goodness in all

On the CW, Supergirl, who is the cousin of Superman, always tries to find the good in everyone, even if there is no good. In her battles she tries to talk to them, figure out why they are doing what they are doing. If all else fails she takes them down and takes them back to the DEO, Department of Extranormal Operations which is basically a jail, were they will stay. But if the criminal does have goodness, Supergirl will talk them out of doing something they will regret and then they will also go back to the DEO.

I believe Supergirl shows goodness in all by looking for the good in all. She believes that even though people, and aliens, do bad things they all have goodness in them. Most people don't see that or even try to find the good in a person. That is why Supergirl finds goodness in all.

In the year 2005, brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas started a band. But the band ended in 2013 with each brother going there own way. Today Joe Jonas is a solo artist creating songs for the world to enjoy, Nick Jonas joined a band called DNCE who also creates music for the world to hear. Kevin Jonas married and had kids. He is an entrepreneur that works on the Blu Market, an influencer marketing company.

I believe that Kevin Jonas shows non-conformity because even after the band broke up, his other brothers continued to pursue there music dreams, and Kevin chose to live a simplified life and become an entrepreneur. Kevin Jonas shows non-conformity because even though his brothers went back into the music industry he did not. He chose do something he wanted to do with his life.

There in the wood he shows individualism, or self reliance, because in the story, Sam, is all by himself and has to battle what ever the wilderness throws at him. No one is there to help him or even talk to him so he must survive on his own.

Sam shows individualism or self reliance because he left his home apartment New York to live in the woods so he could provide for himself and so his dad could learn. He had to rely on himself to survive .
