    Sheffield Mencap looks at more natural progression routes as opposed to employment. This is important and encouraging for building skills in a range of areas from confidence, being sociable and independence. 

    The majority of members have left full-time education, however there is a large spectrum of ages involved.

    Sheffield Mencap also deliver accredited, low entry level qualifications with AQA as the exam board including qualifications in independent living. They deliver over 200 individual sessions per week with an emphasis on embedding numeracy and literacy skills into the learning. 

    The centre also provides various sports clubs, a performing arts club as well as support around volunteering placements.     • Specialist equipment
    • Help with travel costs to work and back
    • Mental health support.
