Example 1
-What you particularly liked about this sequence?
We like that the document proposes plenty of activities that are appropriate for the range of age they are directed to.
In addition, the activities are quite well contextualized.

-What you would have done differently?
We have not found any significant mistake.

Example 2
-What you particularly liked about this sequence?
Something we really like is that there is a wide range of activities for each sentences, so children will not get bored during the lesson.

-What you would have done differently?
In this case, we have realised that when a new word is going to be introduced or learned
it is literally said.
We believe that this could reduce children's motivation because one of the aims of using this approach is that they learn in a dynamic and funny way.

Example 3
-What you particularly liked about this sequence?
It has a very proper use of redunduncy, lot of examples and questions.
Moreover, it uses sounds and onomatopeias.
-What you would have done differently?
We will pay more attention to the correct use of the language(For example we have found the following question which is not correctly formulated: What colour the buses are?). Also, in the page 11 we have found an exposure activity that makes children to produce the new languge.

Example 4
-What you particularly liked about this sequence?
In our view, we observe that the sequence of actvities proposed for each phase of the sequence is very well scaffolded in terms of complexity. In addition, it is important to highlight that there is a wide range of activities by which children cam learn in many different ways.
-What you would have done differently?
After seen this example, we have not found any significant mistake that needs to be corrected.

First example.
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence
The introduction of the words is complete. The whole work is well-structured In order to students get in contact with the new vocabulary through different procedures and redundancy is present.

2. What you would have done
we would have worked with activities in which children have the opportunity to develop their creativity such as opened questions.

Second example.
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence
In general it is very complete and what has caught our attention the most is the continuous use of visual elements such as flashcards and video. The context and motivation has seemed very innovative and stimulates the curiosity of the student.

2. What you would have done
We would work more on the pronunciation of the words. We would also have used free-thinking activities.

Third example:
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence
the use of activities in which creativity is developed.

2. What you would have
done
there are too many activities of making contact with new vocabulary.

Fourth example:
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence
How children react when teacher explains the activity. we like how the teacher contextualizes and motivates students before starting the lesson.

2. What you would have
done
As everything is presented in the form of dialogue, unforeseen events are not taken into account. We would approach the activities in a different way.

First example:
Pros:
We specifically liked the fact that the whole assignment is very well organised. The contextualisation is very clearly set into place and we liked how clear the task looked visually, which made it very easy to read.

What we would've done:
We would' ve tried to be a little more specific as to who the activity is designed towards, and we would've also been a little more detailed with the citation of the images.

Second example:
Pros:
The dialogues are very extensive and every activity is detailed as to who the activity is designed towards, how it would've worked and the different aspects that would be worked in the activity. We also enjoyed the fact that they took a lot of time in categorising the activities inside the Bloom Taxonomy, the Multiple Intelligences and the PEPP Approach.

What we would've done:
The images and the disposition of the whole task seems to us a little messy and unclear. Visually and aesthetically we would've spent more time into creating something that is visually appealing, and much more organised.

Third example:
Pros:
We thoroughly enjoyed the fact that this example seemed incredibly visually appealing, it disposed a wide range of activities and what's more, every single activity was explained in depth. It was well organised and it was easily navigated.

What we would've done:
On one of the tabs, we found that they added an evaluation method that included sad/angry faces, which we don't agree with. Also, there can also be a disagreement that such a depth in the dialogues can be just a way to add more pages to the task.

Fourth example:
Pros:
It is very visually appealing, using color coding to differentiate each part of the task.
This task also adds a part of learning reflection in which the students add an evaluation of their own learning in very positive ways.

What we would've done:
The activities seemed not original, and we felt that in this task, as well as in everyone, we have seen the activities some times before.

Example 1
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence?
We think that the sequence is well contextualised, the pictograms used are appropriate and there is a range of activities. Moreover, we highlight the use of realia to help children in specific activities.

2. What you would have done differently?

Example 2
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence?
We really like how the teacher gives the vocabulary, including all the gestures, face expressions and instructions.

2. What you would have done differently?
The vocabulary could be a bit complex to teach to children. For example, we can delete "space junk".

Example 3
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence?
The range and variety of activities is good, so children will not get bored.

2. What you would have done differently?
We could provide a deeper context for each word, instead of a too general context.

Example 4
1. What you particularly liked about this sequence?
The language used is simple and appropriate. Furthermore, the flashcards are used with colours that keep the students' attention.

2. What you would have done differently?
We can include what students are going to do in each activity, not only the "dialogues" between the teacher and students. Also, we can improve the interaction and the feedback system.

SEQUENCE 1:

What you particularly liked about this sequence?

After reading this document we really want to highlight some aspect of it such as:

This sequence is very well organized, so the children will not feel under pressure and lost during the class, because the teacher has introduced the new concepts to students and they do not feel like the teacher is testing them, if not they are learning under a context.

With this dynamics the children will have fun while they are learning, this is a very important aspect because if not the children will get bored, so they won’t be on task during the lesson.

They use a lot of activities in the Exposure, practice and production. In this way, the children will learn and use these new concepts in different situation.

The use of flashcard is a very useful tool to introduce a new language because it’s help the learners to have an idea of what it means.

What you would have done differently?

We think that it would be better if the teacher creates more activities where the students can improve the intrapersonal intelligence, because we think that is an important intelligence that they have to develop.

SEQUENCE 2:

What you particularly liked about this sequence?

After looking this sequence, we have conclude that:

-There is a context in order to engage students and introduce new language.

-It’s a complete sequence because it has the four stages well developed and each one has a lot of activities to work it correctly.

-The presentation of new language is well developed because the teacher presents this new language in different ways: isolating, distorting and using them in a context.

2.What you would have done differently?

- This sequence need to develop more the pronunciation.

- It has few intrapersonal intelligence activities, we think it’s very important for children to share their opinion, their feelings.

SEQUENCE 3:

What you particularly liked about this sequence?

We really like that in this context they use Málaga, so this will cause more interested in the activity for part of the learners.

Most of the activities are very dynamic, such as the chant, in which the children have to sing a song with the new words that they have learnt.

What you would have done differently?

The teacher starts the class doing a presentation, but in the presentation children produce the new vocabulary. Children cannot produce new vocabulary at the beginning, they have to listen to the word in different context first.

Examples of Good PEPP Sequences

For each of the sequences, answer the following questions:

Sequence 1:

1. What you particularly liked about this sequence

Many of exposure activities at the beginning of the teaching language supporting with visual information, which foster early the proper understanding, encouraging at the same time the engagement and participation of the group. This means the faster acquirement of the new language. Moreover, the sequence is scaffold (example 1) in small components: giving a closer context from the real life and complies with the PEPP stages.

I would like to stand out the activity 5 where learners have a chance for moving and make actions depending on what flashcard show up.

Related to practise proposal, each activity plays with mystery and promote a reflective state of mind .

2. What you would have done differently

Specifically, in activity 7 ‘Copy me’ (Practise) there is not enough drilling so that they cannot adapt in the dynamic to the time and neither, they are completely aware of the main objective of the dynamic. Therefore, a better development of the introduction of the activity is needed.

On the other hand, in exposure activities there need to be more variety and make it more complex because of the simplicity of each one.

Sequence 2:

1. What you particularly liked about this sequence

The way the teacher creates an appropriate environment in order to introduce the new vocabulary about Space. To achieve this atmosphere the teacher uses resources such as a background video with music. A good point would be that the learners are the protagonist and they have an active role. The teacher explains the activity so that it is more appealing to the learners and they are getting engaged and motivated.

It fulfils perfectly with the different steps of the Exposure phase. There are so many activities offered related to the PEPP Approach. It also provides with a lot of flashcards that reflect correctly the word taught.

The teacher asks the students to share with a classmates how they have felt and what have they learnt.

At the end of the sequence we can find the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy & Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Matrix, so we can observe where are these different activities classified and which cognitive dimensions and multiple intelligences are covered.

2. What you would have done differently

Sequence 3:

1. What you particularly liked about this sequence

In these document the teacher introduce the new vocabulary about vehicles. The activities by flashcard are very interesting and funny. The teacher explain and fulfils with the different steps of the exposure

2. What you would have done differently

I'd like to put on some listen activity.

Sequence 4:

1. What you particularly liked about this sequence

There is a huge variety of activities which engage learners actively. There are activities that involve movement and memorization which are really interesting and interactive.

The part of reflection is amazing because it will help children learn to learn.

The structure is well organized, divided into sections depending on the PEPP approach. The activities are well redacted, in other words, it is clearly written what the teacher should say and how to say it.

Physical activities are fantastic, it will help students relate the vocabulary with actions and with a great experience.

Having taken into account the Bloom’s taxonomy and the Multiple Intelligences is incredible, due to the fact that it helps other teachers to understand the objectives and the meaning of the activities.

The use of flashcards is resourceful and really smart, it provides support to the teacher to give purpose to the activities and to explain them.

2. What you would have done differently

I would change the vocabulary, maybe using other verbs to explain the activities or using a wider range.

However the explanations are well done and using good expressions.

I would include more musical activities due to the fact that when singing and listening to songs, the learning process is more enriching.
