1) Oracy: Students will express their opinions on assigned topics in a conference setting (3-4 persons per group)

2) Research: Students will learn to use ChatGPT as a research tool. Students will submit their research documentation templates showing the research, thinking & editing process before conducting the conference in Week 5.

Learning outcome learning target:

1) Oracy skills : Students will learn the structure of an expository essay, this time in a spoken form. The structure of the conference is aligned with the structure of the expository essay.

a) As a group, students will need to speak coherently with a clear introduction and conclusion, each member linking their speech to the next member’s points.

b) At individual level, every group member will present their opinions in the PEEL structure.

 2) Research skills :

Students will learn to use ChatGPT in a discerning & responsible way, by engaging in critical and adaptive thinking. This includes

a) finding and selecting information

b) integrating and refining information found online with the arugment they want to make

c) enhance ChatGPT input by adding various sources of evidence.
