However, Peter was unconvinced, and Anne did not seem to entirely believe it herself. Anne has even  been talking about Hiring a P.I (private eye) and getting him to help, however the idea was shot down because they would need someone who was both competent and who would not turn over jews in hiding. 

There have been suspicions and quiet accusations behind people’s back, however the Annex does not seem to want to dwell on it and are attempting to reconcile their losses. The Annex did however spend the time they devoted to the burglar a lot on if he would return, and if he saw Mr. Van Daan and if they would be turned in, after this make them all silence the subject and move on to something more cheerful, and less nerve-wracking.

Multiple sources confirm that Anne and Peter seem to be unusually close, and many members of the Annex has described as almost a dreamy look in her eye as she looks at him, and he makes a massive attempt to portray shows of strength in front of her, “I have the strong feeling that Peter and I aren't really as different as we may seem on the surface” confessed Anne one night, and as soon as she said this she reddened the color of a tomato, and quickly excused herself, it's quite clear to these smooth Journalist ears that Anne has a crush! 

Our friend Peter feels the same, from an anonymous source we have discovered, that one fine morning when Peter was chopping wood, Anne tagged along, the remark is that he was rather decisive, much more efficient than his usual style, almost as if he was impressing something, or impressing someone? Anne stated, when further questioned about her “heavenly existence” She explained that she was always to be found with around 8 girlfriends, and at least 2 boyfriends, and a whole lot of candies, she also explained how she could always count on her boyfriends for an ice cream and a compliment, she had a charming smile and witty remarks that made people naturally attracted to her, and she would view the Anne Frank of old as a care-free yet shallow girl, who ultimately had very little true personality.

All the while the Annex is having to eat only one type of food multiple days in a row, Members of the secret Annex are expressing small angers, drowned out in a sea of sauerkraut and kohlrabi. 

The members of the Annex are eating the same thing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and yet the Annex remains hopeful that the war will end soon, or some do. When questioned about Mr. Van Daan negativism. He said, “gout” and things have gotten so bad. Some members, named Mr. Van Daan has been caught stealing food. No kiss from Auguste tonight? 

It sparked outrage and bickering, that quickly died in a rain of fire from the sky, as allied bombers toke to the skies and showed their fury to the chaos down below!

That little girl- oops. Young Woman! Is Anne Frank! Anne Frank, the lovable little girl in your very own secret annex, has started showing signs of maturity, yes that’s right folks, we first noticed this when she stopped taking her parents side in arguments, became more objective about things, and of course got a doting look for our dear Peter. 

In her very own words “I have stopped taking my family's side in everything, and started being more objective”. Well Anne, we here at The Amsterdam Roar couldn’t agree more! Why even our darling peter has taken it an initiative in speaking to Anne, as much as he can. 

In fact they seem to be spending an auspicious amount of time together, one might say they’re practically married.
