I have learned along the way to never give up and to continue to do my best to inspire my students. I have learned a lot by listening to my students and encouraging them to express their voices. We have created the SUPHRE model that is guiding our educational journey and brings us to achieve a common goal: make a difference in someone's life, in our community, in the world...

I have been a volunteer with Camp Koinonia (formerly Peacebuilders Camp) for the past several years. While enjoying farm life with the Koinonia community, campers learn about the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the rights we all have as human beings. We focus on one right each day through discussions, games, meaningful service, and challenging questions. We dialog with leaders of the Civil Rights Movement in Americus and with those working for social justice today who are passionate about what they are doing to build strong communities where everyone can thrive. At Koinonia, campers are immersed in the life of a community committed to peace, justice, and love since 1942.
