Low level collaboration:
In 2nd year History class, students will be given a series of cards based on the Reformation. They must work in pairs to match new terms with their definitions e.g. Church abuses etc. (Level 2 activity)

Fifth year students get into groups of 3. They must work together and present a 5 minute presentation where they will defend a historical figure from the Cold War in a "court of law". One student will be the historical figure (in dress and in speaking in first person) who is being accused of war crimes. The other two students will act as their lawyers. After the presentation, the lawyers must improvise and defend their client against class questions and accusations. (Level 4/5 activity).
