You can also make use of "World Time" to determine the local time for a London company if you call them.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;The UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) is the foundation of the modern time zone systems. It's also the base for all time zones.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;Some countries in the Northern Hemisphere experience an increase of 1 hour in their local time. In the Southern Hemisphere, however, this decreases by 1 hr. Winter brings it back to the normal time that is frequently changing. There's lots of confusion regarding local time due to seasonal and non-seasonal variations. This could impact broadcasting, radio communications, international travel, and other international means.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;UTC is not translated between winter and summer, so the offset relative UTC change for places that have daylight savings time translation.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;Coordinated Universal Time UTC remains an independent reference for the whole of the world. Understanding the differences between your time zone and mine, you can calculate the local time zone.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;Precise time signals are transmitted through television, radio and on the Internet - the UTC system.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;Universal Coordinated Time is now the standard time. It was created in order to take over Greenwich Mean Time. UTC is based on the uniform scale of the atomic (TAI) and is easier to use for civilian uses. The UTC offsets are both positive and negative. It is crucial to keep in mind that UTC can't be translated in winter and summer. So, in those locations where there is a daylight saving time conversion the offset concerning UTC is changed.<br><br></div><div><br>&nbsp;Prior to the introduction of standard time every city was using local solar time based on the longitude of its geographical location. Standard time was developed in the 19th century to alleviate the confusion created in many places by the use solar time. It was necessary to have this standard due to the rapid growth of railroads. Before this, schedules for trains were based on local time in every city. This caused inconvenience and confusion, but also led frequently to accidents. This was especially relevant when there were huge areas connected to a system of railroads.<br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
