We tested the density of liquids and the solubility of liquids ( oil) in water. water, oil and drops of colour... and you get this beauty...

The fish that were put in the water stood still and sank, while those that were smeared with liquid soap floated, because the soap protects the paper and it cannot get wet, so it swims happily on the water, like a boat.

What happens to water when we add colored eyeliner to it?

In this experiment, children explored how rain forms. Using water, shaving foam and colored water, they created their own “rain in a glass.” This simple and fascinating activity helped them understand the water cycle in a playful and visual way.

The cubes were interested in how and why plants drink water. It all started with a story after which the children did not believe that plants also drink water. That's why we did experiments on capillarity to visually see how plants drink water. The color in the water showed her way

When dry pinecones are placed in water, they slowly close up. The scales of the pinecone absorb water and swell, which makes them move closer together. When the pinecone dries again, the scales open back up. This experiment shows how pinecones react to moisture — they close when it’s wet to protect their seeds and open when it’s dry to release them.

• observed the water’s color, smell, and clarity

• performed sedimentation to see what tiny particles were in it

• took simple measurements (temperature, pH, floating particles)

• compared it with tap water

• discussed how the environment influences water quality . The children enthusiastically took notes, made drawings, and created their own mini research reports.

It was wonderful to see how their curiosity grew as they explored the world around them!

To include our main task in school, we are making self-sustaining gardens. We are using alredy used plastic bottles (reuse) and rope (we made hole in the cover of the bottle) water and soil. We cut of the bottom of the bottle, put water in it. On that we turned around bottle with rope, soil and seeds. Will the water travel up the rope? And will it water the soil?

Most of the children aren't convinced that it will work...

Experimenting with water- we made mini lake with plants in it

As part of Our world lakes through childrens eyes project, students explored the fascinating properties of water through simple and engaging experiments. By observing, predicting, testing, and discussing results, children developed their scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.

These activities transformed our classroom into a laboratory of exploration, where every experiment sparked excitement, questions, and new learning opportunities.
