         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Lord Henry discusses the beauty of this unknown, yet interesting, young boy he sees in the portrait with his friend Basil. The boy, much like the picture, seems very pure and innocent at this point. Nothing has corrupted him yet. </li><li>Henry and Dorian go for a walk in the garden and Dorian realizes that he will not have his good looks forever, so he must do everything he can to preserve it, no matter the consequences</li><li>Dorian meets Sibyl Vane, a young and beautiful actress. He promptly falls in love with her, only to realize that he did not love her, but the beauty she exhibits. He ends his relationship with her, causing Sibyl to commit suicide due to Dorian's love for beauty above all. </li><li>Dorian kills his friend Basil for creating the somehow rotting portrait of him. He does not want to face the fact that he has done this to himself, so he decides to blame his corruption on the artist of said portrait. </li><li>Dorian finally realizes the horrible lengths he has gone through for his preservation of beauty. He understands that his want to be beautiful forever has corrupted both the idea of beauty and he himself. </li></ol>]]></description>
