Daisy in the beginning of the Book is joyful and Superficially in love with Tom. Daisy is always in a great mood when we see her in the begging of the story but, we learn that she doesn't Love Tom anymore and is only married to him for the money. "the other girl, daisy made an attempt to rise she leaned slightly forward with a conscientious expression then she laughed, an absurd , charming little laugh" (Fitzgerald 8).

End of Book: Daisy changes and becomes more confused and flustered as the Book goes on. She becomes confused and Flustered due to the fact that she doesn't know what to do and what to think because she really likes Gatsby but, is married to Tom and states that she has loved them both at one point. She cries when she sees what he life could have been in Gatsby's house. She still has feelings for Gatsby. Never loved Tom. "I thought so; I told Daisy I thought so" (Fitzgerald 143). this sentence is referring to when Daisy as flustered as she was killed Mrs. Wilson in an Accident she was flustered and confused and was driving with Gatsby and accidentally killed her.

Tom in the beginning of the Story as Intimidating he begins as a man of great strength and wealth the same chapter we learn that he is cheating on Daisy with Mrs. Wilson. Tom is a man who is very arrogant he flashes money around and shows off to nick and Gatsby. " His Speaking voice, a gruff Husky tenor, added to the impression of fractiousness he conveyed" (Fitzgerald 7). This supports the the claim that he is an intimidating person the description that nick gives Tom is a man who has a deep voice and he is described as leaving the feeling of dicord or disharmony in the air.

End of Book: Later we learn that he has the feeling of jealousy and he is jealous of Daisy and Gatsby's friendship. We learn that he is Angry about a lot of things. He is so angry. At one point in the story He spends money on researching Gatsby so that he Later on could expose him in front of Daisy to hope that he could win Daisy back over. an example of his arrogance is from chapter 7 where he says "I suppose the latest thing is to sit back and let Mr. Nobody from Nowhere make love to your wife. Well, if that's the idea you can count me out" (Fitzgerald 229).

Towards the end of the book it showed that Jordan still does not care but about others. She shows an even more selfish attitude when she wasn't at all worried about Daisy killing a women because the day after the even she called Nick and said " You weren't so nice to me last night." pg(155) She also does not linger to long with Nick and moves on saying she is engaged when possibly she is not. She says to Nick " Nevertheless you did throw me over." "You threw me over the telephone. I don't give a damn about you now." pg (177). when Jordan said that she ended all relations with Nick because of one bad experience with him. That really shows she has not developed into a different person.

What really changed Nick and developed him to the man he is at the end is being with Gatsby all the way to his death and dealing with the funeral afterwards. He changes from " a man dreaming of a fortune, to a man who knows only too well what misery a fortune can bring." (https://www.cliffsnotes.com/literature/g/the-great-gatsby/character-analysis/nick-carraway). He came to NYC with hopes and dreams but he changed when " After Gatsby's death, the East was haunted for me like that... I decided to go back home"( pg 176) Nick no longer was this determined stock broker seeking money but basically disgusted with comes with great success. What hurt Nick the most and changed him was that Gatsby had no friends to come to his funeral since everyone associated with Gatsby were only there to benefit themselves.
