Take small steps - I think by taking small steps towards the change will be more successful then one big leap forward as then there is time to measure and assess how the change is going along the way and if necessary make any tweaks to the change as you go.

For me being open and honest regarding the change is hugely important. If you want the change to be successful then you need all your managers and employees on board with you. If they aren't onboard from the beginning this may set the change up for failure

I believe being honest and up front with your team/staff/employees. You can not try and sell them on the change when you are not being thruthful about what the change entails for the organisation as well as for them.

Check your ego- We are our own worst enemy is a pretty good saying I think. When I stop and evaluate the thoughts and feelings around changing I often almost feel like a little child. Stamp my foot and say " I don't want to do that". Its an automatic response that when I investigate deeper, has no solid foundation. I can then quickly let go of negative attitudes and focus on the positive aspects of change.
