When I left Riddle I was pregnant with the twins-they are now going into the third grade and I am their art teacher in Allen. Alexandra is going into the eighth grade! I miss you all and think of you and your families often. The best part of this teaching gig is getting to see you grow up through the years! I have had a front row seat via social media for some of you through your parents. I am so proud of you and cannot wait to follow your successes in life. I still remember so many great times with yall at Riddle! When you travel somewhere-always look up their local art museum and take someone with you to share the experience of looking at fine art. Please keep me posted on your life and what you are up to. Love you all.
Go Rangers!
Nolte

Hey y'all! Mrs. Keating here! Let me set the scene for you: it is August of 2012, just before Meet the Teacher night, and I am so excited and SWEATING BULLETS at the exact same time! How would my first year of teaching go? Would the students like me? What kind of teacher did I want to be?? And in walks YOU (alllll of you) and I am instantly assured of how great the year would be. You all came in feeling the exact same way, a bit excited and a bit nervous. You wore a brave, kind-hearted smile. I have to tell you, that year of teaching will always be one of my favorites. I remember extra recess on Fridays, Mrs. Beaird and I playing against y'all in basketball and football! You did NOT go easy on us. I remember the obsessions/fascination you all had when the trash truck came during recess. I remember going to camp and pranking cabins at night with Mr. Leary. That year with all of you is still so clear. <3 And now, you are old and I am, well, older! The future we once talked about in all of your "letters to my future self" (coming soon!) is here, and that future is YOURS. Make what you want out of it. Determine what you want to do in life, set the path and follow it. Learn from your mistakes, but most importantly forgive yourself for making them. Be unapologetically YOU and never settle for less. Wear that brave, kind-hearted smile ALWAYS and give grace to others knowing that they have the same excited/nervous feeling as you. I hope that you all know that I am still here for you, whether you need someone to proof-read an essay, someone to talk to or someone to celebrate with. I couldn't be more proud of you and I CANNOT wait to hear of all the amazing things you do for this world.
Your teacher, Mrs. Keating
P.S.

The first thing I think of when I remember you all – the class of 2020 - is what a phenomenal group of 5th graders you were. Those of us who remain at Riddle still talk about how this was “that class, full of sweet, funny personalities, close friendships, and incredibly kind and respectful young people”. Now, here you are about to graduate and we could not possibly be any prouder.

You brought us so much joy during your years at Riddle and as we tried to keep in touch with you through your middle school years, you continued to make us proud. Then your lives became busier once you reached high school, with friends, academics, sports, and jobs. We could still catch some snippets of what was happening in your lives, either through your parents or younger siblings or social media. The best parts were the surprise visits you made to see us during Meet the Teacher Nights or Fall Festivals or the occasional emails from you.

Your high school experience was truly unique from beginning to end. The first and only class to set foot into a brand new LTHS in the Fall of 2016, you were always the upper-classmen. You did indeed blaze the trail for those who followed and there is no better group to have done so than you. Though the final few months of your high school career were certainly not what you had hoped for, you have persevered. You are strong, capable, caring individuals whose resilience is to be admired.

Finally, you know you’re not going to finish reading this without Mrs. T throwing in some science. Here is a quote from Marie Curie that seems fitting for the times: “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” Now go blaze a new trail. We have no doubt you will be amazing. Love you all!
❤Mrs. T

I'm so excited for you and your accomplishments. You were my first group of 5th graders and I cannot believe that you are graduating seniors. I loved your spunky and welcoming personalities as I leaped straight out of student teaching to becoming your art teacher; I was so excited to teach you art. Some of the memories I have of your group are, Noodles and Doodles, end of the year chalk art, and you all being so excited to learn how to paint with watercolor! I've loved seeing and hearing from you randomly throughout the years, and look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in the future. I know you are going to do amazing things, and can't wait to hear about it all! Way to go! I hope you enjoy your journey as you pursue your passions!

A little bit about me: I'm now the art teacher at Lawler Middle School, I have a 4 year old son, Niam, and a dog named Rocco!
Feel free to keep in touch on social media or through email! woo hoo!
-Mrs.Mistry

What a special time in your life! I cannot believe you are all SENIORS! It seems like yesterday you were all "sitting on your rug spot" in Kindergarten! Singing the days of the week, counting by 5's and 10's, and of course sharing stories of our families, sports, and our pets! What a fantastic time we all had together! You ALL hold a special place in my heart and such special memories! I've loved seeing some of you at LT basketball and football games! Thanks for teaching me to be a better teacher and person! I know you will all accomplish SPECTACULAR adventures in this next step of your life! You are all CHAMPIONS!
Love,
Ms. Shannon and Pups!
Danica, Chepe, Lola and Landry

Hello to my former fourth graders turned high school graduates! Do you still remember the helping verbs song? Helping Verbs, Helping Verbs, There are 23 (sung to the tune of Jingle Bells)...Maybe you don't remember this song, but I remember you all like it was yesterday.

I picture your faces listening to me read aloud James and the Giant Peach with you. You loved when Centipede said inappropriate words. I censored many of them for you. :) I remember how interested you all were in the Texas Revolution. I miss your enthusiasm for finding all the correct grammar elements within our mentor sentences for DLW. I miss hearing you read and reading your personal narratives laden with descriptive details!

Flash forward to middle, then high school, and I'm sure my class seems like a distant memory. You've grown so much since those days, now reading giant novels and writing essays so long your hands are probably numb. I am so very proud of all of you. I know you've been robbed of some memorable high school milestones, but I also know this is just a small bump on your paths to success. You have so much to look forward to, and I can't wait to hear about all the wonderful accomplishments you will have in your lives. Congratulations to this special class!!!
All my love,
Mrs. Rivner

I cannot help but smile reading each of your names on the 2020 Riddle Senior list. For good reason everyone mentions what a wonderful group of students you are – you are kindhearted and looked out for one another in a way that was rare and admirable. I continue to see it an honor to serve as your principal during a good part of your time at Riddle Elementary. I saw it my primary goal to ensure that THE BEST teachers were in your corner each and every day – you deserved an amazing education and that meant teachers who made you feel loved, encouraged, and supported exactly where you were at each point along your way at Riddle. In addition to caring adults inside the school building, your parents raised you well and worked hard to make sure your experience in elementary school was memorable and fun. As you move on to the next chapter in life, I hope you’ll continue to follow the rules we had for you at Riddle as they are solid life rules as well:

· Do what’s right.

· Do what’s best.

· Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Know that you make an impact wherever you go - I feel certain you will make an impact in the most positive way because that’s who you are!

Hugs and fishes (and Gig ‘Em),

Mrs. Taylor
racheltaylor1999@gmail.com

Update on the Taylor family:
I stopped working at Riddle in the summer of 2011 after our daughter Caroline was born. Caroline is now 9. Emily turns 8 this week and Joshua is 6 and finishing his Kindergarten year. I am currently a consultant and David teaches law at SMU. xoxo

You were absolutely one of my favorite groups of students to teach! You were vibrant learners, kind-hearted, gifted across a variety of domains, and full of wisdom and character. I hold so many special memories in my heart of each one of you. I have thought of you and your families often over the years and am privileged to keep up with many of you through your parent’s social media outlets.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone! What a story you will be able to tell to future generations! I am certain you have handled all the changes and the impact of the unique circumstances of this time with courage and grace. It can’t and won’t stop you from forging the new path set before you that has destined you to meet the successes ahead! You are AMAZING individuals and have great purpose to fulfill in our world. Be brave, stay committed and focused on your goals, and never give up even when it gets tough. I have no doubt you will accomplish all that your heart desires to achieve. Go forth and seek greatness because that is what lies within each of YOU! Stay in touch at tammie.texada152@gmail.com.

Abundant Blessings!

Ms. Texada (now Mrs. Williams)

Family Update:

In 2014 I moved to Houston, Tx. and married my husband of five years. He is an Engineer working with NASA and SpaceX on Cargo Missions.
