Paragraph 1: Talk about what happens in your weird water event? In the weird water event there is an ancient volcano that heats up rocks and the rocks heat up the water and the water turns to a gas called water vapor. So basically the water molecules have more freedom of movement than the molecules of the liquid. So as the gas expands the cracks of the volcano it meets up with the liquid water trickling down the volcano. The cracks in the rocks separates the gas and water from escaping so the gas starts to expand and forces the water up and out of the crakes of the volcano and up to the air until the underground space is empty and then the water starts to go back and restart the whole process.

Paragraph 2: What is the phase change that occurs? What is the characteristic of the phase before and after the phase change?

Paragraph 3: How do the molecules appear based on the macroscale appearance?

so how the molecules will be a liquid and how it will turn into gas providing the molecules to go different ways and how phase change is evaporation and how the molecules or phase change turn from liquid into gas

Paragraph 1: Talk about what happens in your weird water event: In my weird water event their are trillions of molecules and 75,000 gallons of water and more than 283,900 liters of water that turns in to ice. -Jayden-

Paragraph 2: What is the phase change that occurs? What is the characteristic of the phase before and after the phase change? The phase change is it is ice and after the phase change it is water like when the water gets to Niagara falls it turns to water because of how cold it is. -Robert -

Paragraph 3: How do the molecules appear based on the macro scale appearance? In solid ice water molecules are locked together and can only move in place, in the photo the molecule's are in the water fall so when that it happens it starts all over again.-Jayden/Robert -

Group 2 Glacier Caves of Iceland (Reymundo. Liliana, Kevin, Analiz, Karen)

Glacier Caves of Iceland is about caves that have water in the walls that move around even though the caves can get as low as 10 degrees celsius. The reason for this is because in Iceland there are many volcanoes that shoot out lava and when the lava comes in contact with the ice, the ice melts quickly and the ice gets turned into water.

The phase that is happening in the weird water event is melting. The macro-scale appearance is solid and when the ice melts it looks like water. A solid's characteristics is rigid, does not take the shape of the container and it keeps its own shape. The liquids characteristics are flows, visible and takes the shape of the container.

The molecular-scale appearance before the phase change is it stays in place and does not move around each other unlike after the phase change which is melting it moves around each other.

My water event is glacier caves and the things that happen is it talks about how they are made and the phase change. For example the way they are made is with
The combination of glaciers and hot rock creates some of Iceland’s most beautiful glacier caves”.This shows how they are made.-made by london and jose

Paragraph 2: What is the phase change that occurs? What is the characteristic of the phase before and after the phase change?

The Phase change that occurs. Is Melting, Freezing, Condensation, Evaporation. Before Melting the characteristics is Does not flow, has its own shape, rigid and after it Flows, Visible, takes the shape of the container. The characteristics before freezing is Flows, Visible, takes the shape of the container and after it Does not flow, has its own shape, rigid. Before condensation the characteristics is Invisible, Fills the shape of the container and after condensation it Flows, Visible, takes the shape of the
container. The characteristics before evaporation it Flows, Visible, takes the shape of the container and after evaporation it is Invisible, Fills the shape of the container. -Zeidi

Paragraph 3: How do the molecules appear based on the microscale appearance?

In the article it states that " The molecules of liquid water become free to slide around each other. Because of what's happening on the molecular level, the liquid water is able to flow, forming streams and cutting tunnels through the ice". The molecule scale shows that " In solid ice, the molecules are locked together and can only move in place,This gives its rigid shape and allows it to form solid shapes, like giant ice caves". - Sara
