In Santa Clarita, there is an elementary school, junior high, and high school all on one street-Valencia Boulevard. The easy access makes it appealing for new families to live here; hence why the houses on Valencia Blvd are more expensive. In "15 Minutes With Levitt of Levittown," Levitt says it is great if you can afford luxury. The homes near school districts and suburban amenities in Levittown were sold at increasingly higher rates than those that were not neighboring these conveniences. Levittown was a New York suburban neighborhood made up of inexpensive homes. Relieving the post war house shortage, William J. Levitt built a community of 17,500 homes. Levittown became a symbol of the movement to the suburbs in the years after WWII. Similarly, Santa Clarita is a suburban city north of Los Angeles. Levittown and Santa Clarita are extremely similar in more ways than they are different. The Santa Clarita Valley is a modern-day Levittown because of the uniform housing, landscape, and suburban amenities.

As stated in the article, "Modern Ranch House," Levittown homes were built with a distinct exterior and interior design plan. Levittown neighborhoods consisted of one-story homes with a kitchen, living room, and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The homes built here were made with cheap materials, such as wood and stone. Comparably, Santa Clarita follows the same trend. Almost all the homes in SCV are made of wood, covered with stucco plaster. The images show the consistency of each community in the valley. Levitt believed that if one home was occupied by an African American family, then he would loose his white buyers (At 50, Levittown Contends With Its Legacy of Bias). On the other hand, Santa Clarita is more diverse. The city maintains its landscape on a regularly; one can spot planters and gardeners working on homes and streets on a daily basis.
