I think the Great Depression was about how the banks took the money from the people. The people trusted the banks but the banks closed down and took all the money with them. There was almost no food to go around and many children were orphans.

The Great Depression was after something happened in america that gave people a lot of money and then they started spending a lot but they were spending in parts so how they would pay 5$ one day and the other 5$ a different day but because they were spending so much money they didn't have enough to give the money back and the people were in dept and then the stores couldn't make any money and since people didn't have any money the banks took all the money people were saving in the bank so they lost even more
