When there is a change within the organization, everyone will look to the "leader" of the to see how they handle the implementation of that change and how they adapt to it.  When there is resistance to change, those that feel connectedness to that leader will be less likely to accept that change as well. If the leader is open to change and implementing such well. those followers will flourish too.
