I loved it then.  I love it now.  Why? Wow...how to answer that 40 years later??...It's a combination of so many things, really. It's the love of watching kids learn, or doing a lesson and learning something myself. It's the planning and implementation of something that gets created in my head and then brought to life in a real setting. *Not a day goes by that I don't make at least one special connection with either a student or a staff member.  I like to think that these moments of connection stay with them, tucked inside their heart, just as they stay with me.  In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, it's these moments that tether us to each other and create community.

*Joy is on the menu, every single day.  You can't work with 7 and 8 year olds and not find yourself caught up in their curiosity and love of learning and life, as well as their silliness.

I love teaching at BWS for so many reasons, the staff come in smiling every day and are truly happy to see the faces of the students walking through our doors. We are encouraged to try new things, think outside of the box and with every success and failure comes support from colleagues and students. This profession is one of challenge, growth, and adventure.
