1. The topic I will be addressing would be smoking for teenagers, where it will be talking about the dangers and long-term effects of smoking

2. I will be using a thinglink for my PSA and what I will be doing is getting a picture related to smoking that kind of has a hidden message behind it, and the students can interact with it through the tags. Finding the importance of the image and how it demonstrates the negative effects of smoking.

3. I think I would direct this towards 5th grade because they are getting older and since they will be going into middle school the following year, they will encounter older kids. They possibly could become involved with someone who does smoke and so I think this is important for them to understand the importance of saying “no”.

4. I plan to have an image on ThingLink that shows the negative impacts of smoking and I want the students to dissect and analyze the picture into figuring out what it means. Kind of like a hidden message within the photo to help them understand what it is saying. Through imagery while learning about the concept of smoking and the issues it causes for health. There will be tags on the picture to ask the students what part of the picture it could possibly mean as well as little statistics here and there to inform about what smoking can cause.

5. I will start by searching for a picture that represents smoking that I would like for the students to look at and analyze the meaning behind it. The picture has to have a deeper meaning behind the surface of the image. That is kind of the purpose for using ThingLink because I want it to be an interactive challenge for the students while also conducting a PSA. It is something that could possibly stick out and help them remember because they have to engage with the picture. Then I will put it on ThingLink and attach the tags onto it asking specifically what part of the picture represents and what kind of message it is trying to convey. Altogether as a class talk about their findings and what it talks about in terms of smoking and its effects.

6. I made it memorable by having the students interact with the picture rather than just looking through it and having them use their critical thinking to see what the hidden message in the photo is trying to portray. It engages them with the picture and the tags by dissecting the photo and putting together the pieces to figure out the main idea of the photo.

7. This is a type of PSA that I would like to use by saying that smoking is bad and students shouldn’t ever do it. But I am having them interact with a photo that has a hidden message through ThingLink and tags to help them come to the conclusion of what the photo is trying to say. Then have more information of the issue for informational purposes.

1. The topic that I will address in my PSA will be the state of gay rights around the globe.

2. I will be using Google Jamboard for my PSA. I plan to use Jamboard because I have used it before and it is simple and easy for me to use. I also plan to make my PSA via poster format, so Jamboard would be really helpful for this purpose.

3. The intended audience for this PSA will be upper elementary grades (grades 3-5). It is a serious topic and I plan to include a lot of sobering facts, so I think it would be more appropriate for older kids because they understand more about the world. Also, they should know not to mistreat anyone based on sexual orientation. They will go into middle school soon, and that is a hard time for a lot of LGBT+ individuals. If I provide education about how they should act and treat others, they are more likely to go out into the world and treat everyone more fairly.

4. My production plan is fairly simple. I plan to use all the data I gathered about gay rights during my research and transfer it to a virtual format. I will use pictures, text, and numbers to illustrate this data. I will also make sure that it is all displayed in a way that is visually appealing.

5. I will start by gathering research about the topic and culminating facts that I can incorporate into my PSA--I already have several facts from several sources. I will have to go through the data and pick out what I want to include based on how relevant it is to my topic. After I have done that, I will have to put it all together on the Jamboard as a PSA. I will have to figure out the proper way to display the data, as well as how to make it visually appealing.

6. I will make it memorable by balancing out visual appeal with facts. The PSA will look nice to the eye and be made from lots of bright colors that will catch the attention of the viewer. This will make the PSA more memorable overall. I will also include a lot of facts that are hard to learn about. These unpleasant facts have a way of sticking with people, and I will make them stand out in the PSA in order to get viewers to better remember them.

7. This PSA is going to be a poster about gay rights that displays several facts about the state of the issue globally and urges the viewer to do better and make the world a more equitable place. It will clearly outline the issue and the history surrounding it, detail its significance, and encourage the viewer to take actions to facilitate positive change.

1. The topic that I will be addressing will be the racial disparities in the public school system.
2. I haven't chosen whether to use a ThingLink or Piktochart. I like ThingLink because it is interactive which will make it more interesting for students but I really want to use Piktochart for more of an infographic type of thing.
3. I am thinking that this topic is more for middle school grades.
4. I am thinking of starting off talking about the disparities in high school completion for BIPOC students. Then I will go on to show information on how these disparities affect black and brown communities in the long run. The main point is to encourage students to keep seeking help and support to help them be successful and complete high school and go in to higher education.
5. I will start by doing my research and collect the information and data and store it in a google doc. Then, I will pick and choose the main components I want to include. Then, I will look for images that tie into the topic, graphs and such to put in there for a visuals. Lastly, I will organize it on a ThingLink or a Piktochart infographic.
6. To make it memorable I will make the information relevant to students. I will try and have them have a discussion about it. The facts and images will be eye-catching as well.
7. This PSA will be an infographic or ThingLink that will have information and data that shows the disparities in education between white students versus BIPOC students. I will address the points starting with a hard fact and then moving on to how these things happen in the first place and then move on to how we can try and close the gaps and reach equity.

The topic I will be addressing is the stigmas around mental health and the overall idea that it is okay, to not be okay sometimes. I will also be providing resources for the students to access if needed.

I will be using piktochart.com to create a classroom poster. I have used this website once before, it was easy to navigate and provides a visually appealing as well as professional.

My intended audience will be the lower grades of elementary school (K-3). Doing this will be difficult, but I think I can simplify the information down to their level.

My plan is to create a google doc that outlines all the points I want to make in my poster and then going through and simplifying it to a K-3 level. My research will include statistics, definitions, sayings and resources that could be helpful to anyone, especially young students. After my research and outline are complete, I will begin my piktochart.

I will complete my research within the next two days, followed by the outline and then beginning my piktochart by this Friday. My biggest struggle of this process will be simplifying my information, but I need to remind myself that this is not a lecture, it is a PSA.

I will make this memorable by the overall visual appeal, bright colors definitely attract young minds as well as images. Combining a visually appealing font, pictures, graphs, etc. I think this could really be a poster I would put into my future classroom.

This mental health stigma PSA will be a digital poster that could be easily printed in order to display in a classroom. Piktochart allows easy navigation to include graphs, pictures, different texts and more. I think I will be able to easily get my point across to students that sometimes we are sad, that’s okay and here are ways we can help ourselves and each other.

The topic I will address in my PSA is the gender pay gap, more specifically the gap between the Women's National Soccer Team and the Men's.

I want to use Piktochart because I have used it only a couple of times and I really enjoyed it. I think I can elaborate more of what I want on it and I can mess around with the website and become familiar with it as well.

I want to make this PSA for 5rd graders because I can simplify it enough for them to understand, but they can also give me different perspectives on it.

My organization of this PSA will start with the research that I have conducted within the past few weeks. I will then take that information and show it through pictures. There are some very key players and people associated with this social justice issue that can be shown in the pictures. There are also numbers that can be represented in the PSA to show the comparisons between the men's and women's team.

I will start by doing additional research and taking notes on specific facts on topic of gender pay gap. I will then take this information and pick out what facts I think will be the most useful for my PSA. I will then find pictures, words, stats that can relate to those facts to use in my Piktochart. I will then figure out the best way to display all of my information.

I will make it memorable by using these appealing photos with information that my students can relate to. I want it to be memorable for a longer time rather than just for that day. My students will want to come back and look at this PSA because of the amazing photos it included.

This is going to be a collage on Piktochart about the gender pay gap between the women's and men's US National Soccer teams. It'll have facts, the people involved, decisions that have been made so far, and pictures that represent all of it. It will clearly show the issue and how unfair it is.

1. The topic I plan to address in my PSA is child poverty, but more specifically child hunger.
2. I want to use Adobe Spark because I've used it before which makes it easy to use. I've made websites through Adobe Spark as well as infographics. For my PSA I want to convey information through an infographic. I think I can make it very informative, yet short and sweet.
3. My intended audience is second grade. I know this is a young age, but if we teach children early to have empathy for differences among people, we can make the world a better place. I think this will help teach younger students how to help those who may need it, without having a negative outlook on it. I plan to teach younger grades which is another reason I chose second grade.
4. I plan to have pictures as well as facts, words, and phrases on my infographic. I will gather the information I researched and transfer it to the infographic, but simplify it. I will need to make the information more understandable for second graders. I will try and pick out less disturbing photos because of my audience.
5. First I will do some more research on child hunger. I already have some resources and facts because of week 3 of the social justice unit. After gathering more research on the topic, I plan to modify the language in some facts to make it easier to understand for younger children (my intended audience). After I simplify information, I'll look for pictures to use for the infographic. After I find the pictures and have the phrases I want to use, I will put my infographic together.
6. I will make my PSA memorable by including eye-opening pictures. I will also use colors, shapes, and symbols to catch the audiences' attention. It will also be memorable because the PSA is about children like my audience, so it can get them thinking that child hunger is something that is happening to kids like themselves.
7. This PSA will be in the form of an infographic to raise awareness about child hunger. By using pictures and facts to be easily understood by children, it will convey the message that this is huge problem and children experiencing hunger can be among their classroom peers.

I plan to use Gooogle Jamboard because I've used it in other classes before and it's easy to use. I also plan to use it since I want to do a really cool visual with statistics for my PSA.
3. The intended audience for my class is 3rd-5th grade, because those are the grade levels I really want to teach. Also, because students at these grade levels can understand this topic and its impact.
4. My production plan is open up Google Jamboard and start choosing visuals I want to include and start designing the layout. Next, I plan to research what statistics I want to include.
5. I have a lot to do up until Wednesday, so I plan to start on Thursday. On Thursday, I will choose the images I want to use and create the layout design for my PSA. Then on Friday I will add the statistics I want to use and complete my PSA.
6. I will make my PSA memorable by making it visually appealing and captivating.
7. My PSA will be a visual poster to spread awareness on incarceration and the school to prison pipeline. I will address this by providing visual, statistics, and making sure I show how this is a social justice issue.

1. I will be doing my PSA on advocating to erase the stigmas associated with Mental Health issues.
2. I plan to use Piktochart because I used it for another class this semester and I really enjoyed working with it. It is also a simple format to follow when making a digital poster.
3. The intended audience for my PSA is upperelementary students, more specifically 4th grade and up. It is a statistical fact that half of mental health conditions start at age 14, which is 7th grade. I would really love to start this conversation with my students at least a few years before this time period so that they have resources and knowledge to fall back onto.
4. I plan to use the statistics and other research that I have gathered as the backbone of my PSA poster. I will use graphs to show the data in a way that kids would understand, but they will not be the main focal point. I will use pictures and personal accounts to reach the students rather than solely stone cold fact.
5. My production plan is rather simple. First I will compile my sources on a separate google doc to keep track of ones that I think have credible and impactful data. Then I will pick a design for my Piktochart and map out what I want each section to be. Next comes visuals, which I want to be a major part of my PSA. I plan to time manage well this coming week and have it done well before the deadline.
6. To make it memorable, I will find visual and statistics that will shock and interest the students so that it will grab students' attention. I will place them in eye catching areas of the poster and make it look aesthetically pleasing. I also want to use Winnie the Pooh characters because of the fan theory that each of them represent a different mental illness. Theories like this would catch a students attention and also help familiarize them with the characteristic of mental illness and help them see that people affected by them are not "crazy".
7. I am making a Piktochart about the importance of destigmatizing Mental Health as well as resources that are available to students who may be struggling. I want Mental health to rise above the taboo zone and become more common place. I want my students to feel seen and safe in the classroom, and I want them to be a friend to one another. I plan to use the bullet points on the prompt in d2l to guide me in choosing the best possible information to present in the body of my poster.

The topic I will be addressing in the PSA is child poverty, specifically pertaining to its issues and causes in the United States.

The digital tools I have decided to use are youtube and a video editor called “iMovie.” I plan on creating a picture slideshow with information and music, and these tools will aid in the creation of the video.

The video’s intended audience are elementary students from 3rd-5th grade. Some pictures I plan to include are more graphic and can be too harsh or confusing for the younger grades. Some of the information requires a decent amount of number knowledge to understand the statistics I will discuss as well.

I plan to produce this PSA by taking key information found during my research and convert it to be better understood by my intended audience. Information will be short and to the point while being supported by images and dramatic music.

I will first take my notes from my research and simplify the information into short informative captions to be inserted into the video. Then I will select photos and order them to correlate with/illustrate the information being shown. Lastly, I will add a dramatic instrumental in the background.

I will make this PSA memorable by including images and music. Students will feel inclined to relate their lives to the children they are shown and may experience empathy for them. The inspiration behind my idea is the animal shelter commercial that plays “In the Arms of an Angel” in the background.

This type of PSA is a youtube video, and it will display the harsh reality of child poverty in our country along with shocking statistics and images. It will be informative and encourage reflection amongst viewers.

The digital tool I will be using for my PSA is piktochart.com. I've used piktochart once in the past for another class and I like how easy it is to navigate. I think this tool will allow me to effectively make a digital poster.
3. The intended audience for my digital poster are older elementary students (grades 4-5) since the idea of the school-to-prison pipeline is a concept that might be too complex for younger students to comprehend. Even at 4-5th grade, this topic may seem extremely serious and harsh, but I think it is important to talk about, especially as students are becoming more aware of systemic inequities.
4. My production plan includes gathering research including data and statistics on the school-to-prison pipeline an transferring it into my digital poster which will also explain what the school-prison-pipeline is and how it affects our society as a whole.
5. To begin this process, I will do research on the school-to-prison pipeline and take notes on different data and statistics I find. I will then narrow down my research into what I want to include in my piktochart. I will also find and create visuals to make my piktochart visually engaging.
6.

1. The topic I will address is Homelessness in the United States.
2. I want to use AdobeSpark because it has so many different options and because I am indecisive I think I need to try multiple media styles to see which one fits it better.
3. My intended audience are 5th graders. They are usually the oldest group in elementary and I believe that they are ready to have these conversations. They have grown up seeing homelessness around them and as children they are confused and curious wondering why some people have very nice homes and others have no homes.
4. My production plan is that I will gather information in chronological order to find highlights that are important for children to know in order to understand homelessness as a concept. Then, I want to pick 3-4 misconceptions that are very common about homelessness in the U.S and share the correct information about it. I want to take this information and make it into a visual that plants the seed of accurate information about the topic so they can be aware of misconceptions and understand a big social injustice issue.
5. I have the information, I will begin the visual Monday and finish the final product by Wednesday (I leave town Thursday and I don't wan to either rush it or miss it.)
6. I will make it memorable by stating how it affects kids just like them, I think having that connection makes it more reality for them and hopefully it helps it click.
7. This PSA is the type that helps student connect to an issue by finding a similar factor, like their age. I will address it by making it the last point in the PSA so it's the part that stays with them the longest after seeing it.

1. The topic I will be addressing in my PSA is domestic violence in the United States.
2. I plan on using either Google Slides or Google Jamboard for my PSA. I am familiar with how to use google and believe it will convey my information most effectively.
3. My intended audience for this PSA will be upper elementary grades due to the sensitive nature of this topic. This topic may be best to discuss with the older students because I want them to understand the signs of domestic violence occurring, know the resources, and how to support awareness for domestic violence survivors.
4. My production plan is to gather all my information and arrange it in my digital platform strategically. I want the presentation to progress in a way that is not too overwhelming, and ends on a page full of resources.
5. In order to create this project, I will start by researching more about domestic violence, resources, and how to spread awareness from credible sources. After gathering my information, I will create an outline for myself to them transform it from an outline into my presentation. I will do this on either Google Slides or Google Jamboard. I will work on incorporating not only facts and information, but also informative pictures.
6. I will make my presentation memorable by not having my slides be too text heavy and making sure my presentation is able to be comprehended easily. It would not be helpful to my students listening to my presentation if it is a page full of text, I will make sure to break it up within the presentation. I also plan on discussing about a local shelter in Tucson called Emerge for domestic violence survivors. I think students need to hear about resources within the community and all that they provide.
7. This PSA will be about domestic violence statistics/ information, how to provide awareness/ notice the signs, and where you can find resources. I will ensure that this presentation is factual, effective, and addresses all necessary points.

Lastly, I’d like to review some resources that may be helpful for teachers to know about.

I will begin the stages this week - starting with the important details one day. I like this platform because it is less text and reading and more visual and audio learning.
3. This will be for a 5th grade class.
4. I want to ask students what they think or know about the meaning or mental health. Then I want to give then a lesson on mental health. Then I will provide resources and different contact information.
5. The first day I will ask students what they know about mental health and possibly fill out a KWL chart, then I will give a little lesson about mental health. The next day I will have a therapist or a mental health guest speaker to talk to the students and teach them. The next day I will touch base with the students and provide resources for students.
6. This will be memorable because this will hopefully educate and help students in their future. I know I was never taught about mental health until high school and I feel that it is important to talk about early.
7. This PSA is going to be on adobe spark that will be filled with visuals.

I will be using Piktochart because I used it for the first time this semester and I really enjoyed it and how I can make my own infographic/ poster to explain my topic. It is also really easy to navigate and a lot of options to choose from as a guide.

3. My intended audience will be for around 4th grade because I feel at this age they are able to process, use, and remember this information and they may be facing issues at this time that they can become aware of.

4. My production plan is to dig deep in educational websites about mental help, read article, watch videos, and etc. to have as much knowledge as I can to create this PSA.

5. I will start this week, Monday or Tuesday, and I will use the info gathered to display it into my Piktochart as well as finding pictures, videos, and resources to include in the infographic.

6. I will make it memorable by hopefully educating students on this topic in an informative and uncomfortable lesson, rather than highlighting and focusing only the dark and uncomfortable aspects. I hope to make this a topic that they can come to me with questions at anytime.

Describe the type of PSA and how you will address the assembling points, ensuring you meet the goals.

7.

1.
The topic that I will be addressing is the gender bias that our society has. I think it is very important for all students, especially young ones, to grow up with the idea that everyone can do whatever they want and there isn’t a specific gender that is allowed to one certain things.

2.I think I will end up using either Padlet or Thinglink. I want to create an interactive visual for my PSA. I am leaning more towards Thinglink because I want it to be more interactive than a Padlet and I want to add a past and future aspect to show the growth we have had.
3. My intended audience is going to be elementary school level students. Probably around kinder or first grade. I believe the younger the students are when they start learning about all of this, the more it will become normal for them.
4. I will have certain jobs that have been mainly run by males and see what the students say about having women work there and vice versa. We will discuss how it is important to remember that even though it hasn’t always been viewed as “normal” for men to be teachers or women to be engineers, that we have all fought for those rights and proved that we are all capable of doing these things.
5.The students and I will start the lesson off with talking about what they all want to be when they grow up. We will then go into a discussion about what kind of jobs they think only women should do and what kind of jobs they think only men should do. We will then go into why we think this way. Once our discussion is over, we will then take a look at the Thinglink and discuss the history of women in industrial jobs and take a look at all the things women have accomplished. We will then go into the future part of the Thinglink and it will be a picture of my class, basically meaning they are the future and they can change it. Once this is done we will have another discussion and see if any of their opinions have changed.
6.I made this PSA memorable because we got to take a look through time and the kids will get to interact with the Thinglink. Also at the end of the presentation, there will be a picture of my class showing that they can change the world. By inserting them into the presentation, it connects more to their lives.
7. This is an interactive visual PSA that will help students learn about past, present and future of gender bias to help make sure that they grow up knowing that they can be whatever they want to be and that their gender won’t hold them back from being happy with their lives.

1. The topic I will be addressing in my PSA is unequal incarceration rates of minority groups in America.
2. I will use Canva as my digital tool to create an infographic as my PSA
3. I think that my intended audience should be 5-6th grade because it is a bit of a bigger picture topic to understand and there is a lot of information to process.
4. My plan for the production of my PSA is to gather as much research as I see fit then sort through it to narrow it down to be information for 5th graders. I want my PSA to consist of pictures and text as well as informational graphs that show solid evidence of the injustices of this topic.
5. I will complete these stages by using the first part of next week to solidify and continue gathering research on the topic and the second part of the week to physically create the PSA.
6. I think that the statistics on this topic will make it the most memorable because the numbers really say it all and it shows that this topic is not a matter of opinion but a matter of fact.
7. This PSA will be an infographic made on canva that emphasizes the unjust rate of incarceration of people of color in America.

1. The topic that I will be addressing in my PSA is mental health and the stigmas that circulate the topic.

2. The digital tools that I plan to use on my PSA is adobe spark or canva in order to make a infographic/flyer/posters that can be used to educate and inform grade 3-5 students on mental health.

3. The intended audience for my PSA will be 3-5 upper Elementry students. I chose this age because I think that they will be able to understand the information that is being presented to them without too much simplification. I think its important to start the conversation around mental health and stigmas at a young age especially because as children get older the talk around mental health gets worse and more and more youth students dont want to talk about it. Which is why I beleive starting early can break that pattern and the stigmas.

4. My production plan is to gather all my sources that I have found from research thus far on mental health and stigmas, and once I put all the sources in one document I will go through them and find the information that I want to use and organize that as well. Then I will map it out so that I can choose what needs to go on my poster/inforgraphic PSA.

5. I plan to select the information and sources that I want to use then I will start to select images and create my PSA once that is done. I am most worried about making this simple and still getting my point across. I plan to be done mostly by this week.

6. I will make sure that my PSA is memorable by choosing straightforward to the point striking facts and data as well as photos that help make it visually appealing and striking to remember as well.

7. This PSA Is an infographic poster that will be dress the points and audience intended and be straightforward and striking with information in order to be effective in getting the word out about breaking the stigma on mental health.
