This was written by Ian Fairweather. When I looked at this for the first time, I thought this was a so ambiguous painting, but it’s a little different. They look like dark, but in fact they are seeing the view of beach in Moreton island and they hope silent delight. I don’t know why it looks like dark or I don’t think it is a skillful painting, but this bus stop attracts me. It’s a fantastic art.

Ngakumart painting (Murrinh-Patha totemic landscape) c.1959-60 by Nym Bandak

He worked closely with the renowned Australian anthropologist Professor and Bandak offered to make his own maps for the anthropologist. This work show that Murrinh-Patha landscapes that conveyed the political, spiritual, cultural and physical importance of the land to his people. Muting-Patha is the language which is spoken by about 2500 people now.
I think this is a abstract art. I couldn’t understand this is a map at first. However, the reason why I chose this one that I like these colours of this work. These colours are not vibrant but warm. Various brown souls are used in this art instead of paints

He chose to paint in a bright and colorful theme.

I picked up this picture because when I first time saw it, it looks like a real photo!!! The reflection in the water surprise me as I know it is not exist. It is very interesting that the artist used a lighting visual technique in his work.

These are from an era regarded as transitional, when Aboriginal traditions were interrupted and hybrid cultural forms were established. On these bull horns, the scene which people chase bulls described minutely. These are Aboriginal design.
I think these are powerful. They described what Aboriginal daily life was. That’s why I chose these horns. I’m surprised because these are described in detail. Aboriginal people had been lived strongly and they were good with their fingers.
