قدْ ملكَ نَصيبًا مناسبًا منَ المهارةِ يؤهِّلُهُ لخوضِ غمارِ الحياةِ. لا تزالُ الحكاياتُ تؤكّدُ التّنافسَ الشّديدَ بينَ سُلَحْفاةٍ صَبورةٍ بطيئةٍ، وأرنبٍ مغرورٍ سريعٍ، في سباقِ عَدْوٍ تشهدُهُ حيواناتُ الغابةِ، ولَئِنِ اختلَفَتِ الرِّواياتُ فإنَّها تتَّفقُ على اشتعالِ المنافسةِ بينَهما حدَّ العداوةِ، إلى أنْ ينتهيَ المطافُ بترجيحِ كِفَّةِ السُّلحفاةِ الصّبورةِ البطيئةِ على كِفَّةِ الأرنبِ السّريع المغرورِ، وتلقينِهِ درسًا قاسيًا، يُنسينا مَزيَّةً مهمَّةً وهبهُ إيّاها خالقُ الكونِ، كما وَهَبَ كلَّ مخلوقاتِهِ مزايا مختلفةً، حتّى يكادُ الواحدُ منّا يظنُّ السُّرعةَ عيبًا، والبطءَ مَزيَّةً. وبعيدًا عنِ الدّفاعِ عنِ الأرنبِ، ومهاجمةِ السُّلَحْفاةِ، أوِ العكسِ، فإنَّ الأمرَ يحتاجُ الإشارةَ إلى أهميَّةِ السُّرعةِ في حياتِنا اليوميَّةِ، وهيَ مفهومٌ يرتبطُ بالزَّمنِ، وما حياتُنا إلا زمنٌ، عليْنا أنْ نستثمرَهُ بالشَّكلِ الأمثلِ، فكما أنَّنا نعيبُ على الأرنبِ غرورَهُ في تلكَ القصَّةِ، فإنَّ بطءَ السُلَحْفاةِ كذلكَ لا يتناسبُ معَ روحِ العصرِ الّذي نعيشُ فيهِ. ولعلَّ أحدَنا قدْ سأَلَ نفسَهُ ببراءةٍ: ألا أستطيعُ أنْ أكونَ أرنبًا مُتَسَلْحِفًا، أوْ سُلَحْفاةً مُتَأرْنبَةً؟ والحقيقةُ أنَّ كلَّ واحدٍ منّا يستطيعُ ذلكَ إنْ أخذَ مميِّزاتِ كلٍّ منْهما، ونَبْذَ عيوبَهما؛ فيكونُ صبورًا مثابرًا كسُلَحْفاةٍ، سريعًا كأرنبٍ، عندَها يكونُ
