1. My favorite article was the one about procrastination. I liked the interactive part of the article and how it gives feedback about how you can fix your problem.
2. I think that schools do body shame students not necessarily on purpose but many people are insecure about themselves and one of the most common places for it to affect them is at school. Trying to calculate BMI's and personal info for school doesn't have to happen, we just need to be taught how to take care of ourselves.
3. Apologies and owning up to a mistake are definitely problems that our generation face constantly. People have a very hard time getting over their pride and excepting that we are all human and we make mistakes, and that is a big thing for people to learn but it shouldn't be. We should be able to accept that we can make mistakes and swallow our pride to apologies right away.
4. I think that we google ourselves sick way too much as a generation, but it is also a great resource that can help us to know what's up when it is used correctly. If someone uses a reliable source then it is a great thing. People don't often talk to their parents or a trusted adult around them when they think that they are sick and are very quick to go to the doctor, which is fine but I think that asking someone else if it's serious first would be a much better idea than wasting money on a doctors visit that was nothing.

1. My favorite article was "We Used to be Drug Addicts" because I really enjoyed hearing about people near my age turning their lives around and recovering from harmful decisions. I found their accounts very inspiring, especially that of the two friends.
2. I believe that schools are not intentionally body-shaming students, but they should take a more constructive approach to the obesity pandemic. Rather than making BMI screenings so public, for example, they should offer health advice in private. However, I think that schools have an obligation to be involved in the health and development of their students.
3. In order to own up to a mistake you have to not only acknowledge your mistake, but also the effect that it had on the people around you. Tips for a good apology include direct eye contact, recognizing the other person's feelings, and asking for forgiveness and trust in a sincere way.
4. I take the information that I find on the internet with a grain of salt and therefore am not greatly influenced by health articles. If I do google symptoms or information such as exercises or nutrition facts, I make sure to do a cross reference and not take everything I see as absolute fact. The three rules are think about the source before you choose one, analyze components of the source to determine its validity, and beware of bias on the internet.

1. My favorite article was the bully blocker. It described how people really need to watch what they say to everyone, and on social media. It could lead someone to think that their life does not matter, and they could commit suicide.
2. I am kind of in the middle of schools body shaming their students. Yes, the persons weight should just be between them and their doctor. I also think no because kids do need to know that their body weight could have severe consequences when they are older if they do not get it under control.
3. You can own up to a mistake by admitting what you did wrong and promising to earn that persons trust back. A person can also own up to a mistake by apologizing in person because it shows that you are sincere about you apology, and the mistake you made.
4. The three rules to googling yourself sick are- Think before you click, Sniff out the source, Beware. I once googled what was wrong with my left ear when I could not hear out of it. I read something on swimmers ear, went to the doctor and that was what it was. I was very careful to use sites where doctors were explaining the symptoms, and not just some random blog post from a person with a earache.

I think that other students are body shaming students because schools have dress codes but i wouldn't consider that body shaming. When you own up to something it should be sincere and real, you should do it in person and make eye contact during your apology. I've never googled a sickness I had or symptoms i've had but it does seem kind of silly to do that. You have to find a reliable source.

1. My favorite article was the one about former drug addicts. It was really interesting to hear their stories and their progression of recovery from the drugs they did in their youth. They explained how quickly drugs escalated and ruined their lives when they were younger and the risks that come with taking drugs.
2. I don't think schools mean to body shame students but it comes across that way anyway. Schools want their students to be healthier and happier and learn there but it can be difficult for someone with body image issues to see or realize that and not feel bad about themselves if they do those tests in school and the results are poor. Schools just need to find a way that benefits all students in a safe and non discriminatory way.
3. You own up to a mistake by acknowledging you're wrong or were in the wrong. Some ways or tips for that is to obviously say you're sorry and be sincere about it. Don't do it over text, do it in person, and work to gain the persons trust back. Admit you were wrong and that it won't happen again.
4. I don't google myself sick because I don't really trust google enough. I know that a simple common cold can be exaggerated into something completely opposite and deadly. As far as I remember I have never googled anything related to my health. If I was concerned about something I would tell or ask my parents or ask to go to the doctor. The three rules are Think before you click, sniff out the source, and beware.

Schools are not trying to body shame students, they are just trying to promote healthy behaviors but kids are very emotional nowadays so they get all upset about it.
3.

1. My favorite article was the one about the student addicts. I found it interesting to read each of their stories and how it affected their lives.
2. I think that schools are body shaming students because they shouldn't be forced to weigh themselves in front of their teachers and friends. It's embarrassing and it is a private matter that should only be shared between people they feel comfortable sharing it with.
3. You own up to your mistakes by apologizing and admitting that you were wrong in the first place; you just have to get rid of your pride.
4. I don't google my sickness very much, but Ive done it before in the past. Ive googled "how to get rid of cramps, charlie horses, and coughs/sore throats ." Ive also googled "how to prevent a cold"

My favorite article was the school weighing the students. It is perfectly appropriate to weigh students and to see if they are healthy.
Schools are not body shaming students, if someone is overweight or obese, they need to know that they can get in back down to a healthy weight, and if schools can help with that they should be allowed to.
When you want to apologize to someone you need to be truthful and don't make excuses.
I am not googling my self sick, when I feel sick I go to the doctor.

1. My favorite article was the one about former drug addicts. I found it really interesting to see how they overcame their addiction and how they are able to receive an education in a safe environment.

2. I do not think schools are body shaming students because they don't make a big deal about your weight in front of others.

3. When I make a mistake I own up to it by acknowledging that I made a mistake and apologize to the person.

4. I am not googling myself sick because I don't google anything about my health. The three rules are Think before you click, sniff out the source, and beware of others.

My favorite article was the school weighing kids one and the body mass because it was very interesting learning new things about the topics.
I think that people that are overweight already know that they are overweight and they shouldn't have to be reminded of it and shamed in school. When you want to apoligize you should not cross your arms and make sure that the other person knows that you are serious. Usually when Im sick I do look it up but i also go to the doctor. The 3 rules are be aware of the source, look at the sight and be aware.

My favorite article was about the girl that coded/created a software to prevent cyber bullying. I liked this article because it was very hopeful/uplifting to know that someone is actually making a potential difference towards the epidemic of cyber-bullying.

I believe that schools do not body shame the students but the students within the school do.

How one owns up to a mistake is by saying sorry and taking full responsibility with no excuses while paying mind to the other person's feelings.

I have googled myself sick before. If I remember right I think I googled symptoms of heart disease or a heart attack because I was convinced that I was starting to have/going to have one of those.

The three rules when it comes to looking stuff up for medical stuff is check for credibility, the suffix of the URL whether it says .org, .com, .edu etc, and looking for biased websites.

1. My favorite article was the article talking about what kind of procrastinator you are and how you can help yourself with that issue. It also talked about what a person's motives may be as a certain type of procrastinator.
2. I believe that students weights should not necessarily be checked by the school unless they give some sort of consent to doing so. It's good to know one's weight but not everyone needs to know, nor should it be done publicly.
3. If I make a mistake I usually just own up to it. It's better to take the responsibility now rather than blaming it on someone first and then maybe taking the blame later. I would suggest just coming out and saying it, don't try to dance around the subject.
4. I don't typically google my sickness. I have before, but it was to see what muscle, specifically, was hurting. The three rules that need to be looked for in researching illnesses is the credibility of the website, looking for biased websites, and the suffix of the URL.
