I created a math lesson on subtraction within 10 for the KG2 class, and then implemented it in the KG2/1 class. I focused on the subtraction process in general, how to subtract within 10, and finally, subtraction using physical objects and real-life examples. I believe that no one is perfect, so before I started implementing the KG lesson, I sought my KG teacher's help, Ms. Sherifa, after I finished getting feedback from her. I also took some feedback from my classmates, Asmaa and Khawla, to make sure that the lesson was complete. After finishing taking feedback, I noticed that my lesson needed more sensory activities. I had a worksheet and computer activities, but I forgot the sensory activities. After modifying the lesson plan again, I explained the lesson to the students, and I noticed how important the sensory activities are in the students’ understanding of the lesson. Through this, I developed my future lesson plans by adding sensory activities to facilitate and focus the information for the student. To improve, I want to change my teaching strategies and focus more on student participation.
