         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;Language teachers began to change the way they used computers to teach language.<br>&nbsp;Computer programs were developed that accepted a variety of responses and did not judge the students when they made mistakes. Students were able to make choices and interact with the computer in a way that gave the student more control.&nbsp; The PC was introduced in the late 1970’s. Apple computers were very inexpensive compared to the large mainframe computers and quickly became popular in schools.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
