Are there any schools that you know of that have information literacy programs that go across year levels in a more formal scope and sequence arrangement? Looking beyond ad-hoc, one off sessions when requested by teaching staff.

It has been suggested those new to libraries would benefit from a full day of training. Would this be of interest or is it too much! SCIS do offer training for those new to libraries too.

Work after training

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, so feel free to ignore. MY DP has come to chat to me for input on our Text Selection Policy. Are you aware of any schools/individuals that I could chat to that have included provisions for how to manage the learning for students who are triggered by certain topics/themes?

The aim of this session is for members to connect, share, ask and reflect on their emerging careers in school libraries.

The session will be chaired by a panel consisting of:

Joy Whiteside - SLAV mentor co-ordinator, Geelong SLAV Branch Coordinator and Head of Library at Christian College, Geelong
Chris Kelly - Trained Coach and experienced Library Manager in various public libraries around Victoria. Chris started her library career in school libraries.
Pam Saunders - Executive Officer SLAV, experienced Head of Library in government and private schools. Pam has also worked in public libraries and the State Library of Victoria.
