Students need this in order for the classroom to operate smoothly. I will need to take the same amount of time, if not more, to set up the expectations for my virtual classroom. I believe that with clear explanations, routines, and structure, students will be able to function well in the virtual environment as well. Even though we as adults may feel that 1 or 2 times of doing a task is enough for understanding, realistically, our students will need much more than that in order to be independent and confident in their ability to function in the virtual classroom.
