Sarah Koenig is the narrator for the podcast “Serial”. She shifts through evidence and tries to unconver serious points. She calls Adnan to discuss issues and points within the case and also tries to reanact what has happened and see if it was possible for Adnan to murder Hae. Often times, listeners can infer that she often leans towards Adnan being innocent- being bias.

Adnan Syed- EVIDENCE for the good

A question that Koenig is trying to get into the listener's minds is, "Did Adnan do it?" Well, a piece of evidence that can lead towards believing he's innocent is the time frame of which he "had" in order to commit the murder, 23 minuets. In order for Adnan to get out of his high school building alone is a challenge, for there was a few thousand kids there. Then getting to, apparently, Hae's car and driving off would have also been a hassle to get out of. Then driving to Best Buy to commit the murder, he would've only had about 90 second to do the strangling, according to the scene play out that Koenig did herself and with another women. Then he would've had to stuff her in the trunk in broad daylight. The only way this could've played off is if it was done to absolute perfection, which, in my opinion, would be challenging to do considering he would've gotten nervous at some point and let nerves get some seconds up.

Adnan Syed- EVIDENCE for the bad

While Koenig may tend to be a bit bias when it comes to the evidence against Adnan, she of course includes it. Hae’s car had a map book in the back seat containing a handprint belonging to Adnan. Although, yes, they were in a relationship and maybe this alone means nothing, but the page in the book containing the map of Leakin Park , aka where Hae was buried, was torn from it. When Koenig brought this up to him, he began to get aggravated with her and many believe it is due to him trying to cover it up. Another thing is Adnan went smoking with Jay later on the day of the murder, the proceeded to one of Jay’s friend’s houses and people noted that Adnan was a bit fidgety. Adnan asked the group of people if anyone know “how to get rid of a high”, followed by him getting a phone call from the police. If Adnan didn’t do it, why would he know he may get a phone call and that if he was to get taken in, he didn’t want to seem high??

The case of Hae Min Lee's murder is completely frustrating and can get confusing.
For the people who thing Adnan is innocent- why would Jay make this all up and risk putting himself in a situation to end up in prison for accessory of a murder case?
For the people who think he's guilty- do you really think he played off his time frame that perfect
Obviously, there is a countless amount of question that can go against whatever side one believes in, but usually, people listen to their gut, and what is yours telling you???
