I realized that each pillar reminded me how deeply it plays a role in life and relationship with Allah SWT. Each pillar serves as a reminder of my purpose and responsibilities as a Muslim. For example,

It has strengthened my connection with Allah SWT. It's not just about acknowledging His existence, but truly living with Him in mind, every action, i have to consider if its good for me and seek guidance in decision so that i'll be more confident that it's within the blessing of Allah SWT.

As I've mentioned, i will always be mindful of my actions. Knowing that angels record my deeds make me more conscious as to not intentionally or unintentionally displeased Allah SWT. Striving to do good even when no one is watching

Finding guidance in the Quran. Quran is the book of life, yet sometimes i take for granted on how powerful it can be if i dive deep into it and learn its story. Not just by reading it, but also applying it in my daily life.

This belief helps me stay focused on what truly matters

Accepting Qadar has taught me that life will not be as easy as i initially thought...sometimes the best action is to accept things that is beyond my control.

The Qur'an (Surah Maryam 19:41-50) provides a powerful example of Adab through the interactions between Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) and his father. Despite his father’s rejection of monotheism, Ibrahim (A.S.) maintained deep respect, love, and humility in his speech and conduct. Key lessons include:

Respectful Communication: Ibrahim (A.S.) used affectionate words such as "O my father" (يَٰـٓأَبَتِ) instead of harsh rebuke.

Gentle Invitation to Truth: He reasoned with his father without insulting him or his beliefs.

Avoiding Hurtful Language: Ibrahim (A.S.) refrained from calling his father an infidel or sinner, demonstrating the importance of wisdom in dawah.

Patience in the Face of Rejection: Even when his father threatened to stone him, Ibrahim (A.S.) responded with peace (سَلَٰـمٌ عَلَ) and chose to supplicate for his father instead.

Trust in Allah’s Plan: After being rejected, he distanced himself from wrongdoing and was blessed with a pious lineage.

The story of Ibrahim (A.S.) reminds us that good manners and respectful behavior should be upheld even in difficult situations. In today’s world, disagreements, especially within families, are common. However, responding with wisdom, patience, and kindness—rather than anger or confrontation—can lead to positive outcomes.

This lesson also encourages self-reflection:

Do we treat our parents with the respect they deserve?

How do we respond to disagreements—with patience or with frustration?

Are we mindful of our words and actions when advising others?

By embodying Adab in our daily interactions, we cultivate a character that not only pleases Allah but also fosters harmony in our relationships.

Alhamdulillah, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this Usrah journey. Throughout the weeks, I’ve gained not just knowledge, but insight into how acts of worship are meant to transform the heart and shape our character. It reminded me that ʿibādah is not just ritual , it’s a way of life.

I’m especially thankful for the lessons on adab and inner purification, which made me reflect on how I carry myself as a Muslim.

What made this Usrah special was the sense of connection with my peers. Despite our different backgrounds, we were united by a shared purpose , to become better Muslims. This support system gave me strength and a renewed sense of purpose.

Most importantly, I’ve realized that learning alone is not enough. Consistency and application are key. I want to continue improving beyond Usrah, by setting personal goals, being accountable, and striving to live by the example of the Prophet ﷺ.

May Allah accept our efforts and guide us to maintain these values always. Ameen.
