         <description><![CDATA[<div>First I wrapped both glasses, one with white paper and the other one in black paper.<br>After that I poured the same amount of water in each glass.<br>I placed both glasses in the window sill ( as seen in the picture attached ).<br>I could not check the temperature as my thermometer could not read  such low temperature.<br>After three hours I checked both glasses and I could feel that the glass with the black paper was warmer the the glass with the white paper. <br>Thank you.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I started by grabbing two glass gups and filling them with the same amount of water and then wrapped one of them with white paper and the other with black paper. The thermometer we had was battery operated so I couldn't use or else it would break. So I put them in the balcony were their was the most sun and left it their for four hours since the sun wasn't shining, but after four hours I went in the balcony and felt the water in each cup the cup with white paper felt cooler than the black one which felt warm. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As I first looked at the example I immediately started experimenting. I wrapped both of the glass in paper but in different colour one in black and one in white. Then I poured water in both of the glass. I didn't have a thermometer at the moment so I did the experiment by feeling. I set both of the glass in a small window and waited. After some time I felt both of the glasses, and I felt that the glass with the black paper was more heated then the white paper glass.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Then i got a black piece of paper and warping  it around one of the glasses and then warped the other one with white paper. After letting them in the sun for 5 minutes i went to check to see with one is more hot and i found out that the glass warped in black paper  was more hot then the one with white paper glass . </div>]]></description>

I filled them up with the same amount of water and left them  in front of a lighted bulb for a few hours (as today we had no sun).  When I went to check on them, I noticed that the water in the glass jar that was wrapped with the black paper was hotter than the water in the jar wrapped in white paper.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I tried to do the experiment even though today was not really sunny outside.<br>I did not have any coloured papers available at home so I tried to use something else instead for my experiment.  I took 2 glasses and filled them up with tap water, I left 1 with plain water and in the second glass I put some coffee for colour.  I left the 2 glasses outside on the balcony for about 2 hours.  The temperature in both glasses at the start of the experiment was at 22 degrees each.  After 2 full hours and although there was not much sun outside the black cup was warmer than the other.  The plain cup remained at 22 degrees whilst the black cup was at 23 degrees.<br><br>Thank you<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I had to wait in the afternoon as it was very cloudy this morning and the rain didn't help to complete this experiment. Finally the sun came out.  At first I wrapped two glasses with papers. One with white paper and the other one with black. I filled them up with water and left them for an hour in the sun. Keep in mind to fill them equally. The temperature of both glasses were the same in the beginning and after an hour the black glass got warmer by 2 degrees. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To do this experiment I went to the cupboard and found one black mug and one white mug. I filled them with water and left them in the sun for 1 hour. Then I put a thermometer in each mug and found that the water in the black mug was a bit warmer than that in the white mug. I search on google about why this happens and found that darker colors absorb more heat than lighter ones.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I took two identical plastic cups; one white and covered the second  one with black paper. I then filled them up to the same level with water and placed them on the kitchen windowsill. Unfortunately the weather today, was cloudy. If it was bright and sunny, the experiment would have worked better. After 3 hours, I took the temperature of both cups. The water in the white cup was cooler than that in the black cup. This was as expected. Darker colours attract more heat than lighter colours.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>For this experiment I used two mugs. One black and one white. From this experiment we can find which mug is a good absorber of heat.<br>I filled both mugs wth the same amount of water and took the water temperature reading, which was about 13°C. Then placed the two mugs infront of our yard door in the direct sun light. Left them for about 3 hours and took the temperature reading. The black mug temperature reading was found about 22°C , while that of the white mug was about 16°C.<br>From this I concluded that dark colours are much good absorbers of heat than the others.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First I started by getting two glasses the same size and filled them up with the same amount of water. I wrapped one of the glasses with white paper and the other one with a black paper. I put them both in a sunny spot for 3 and a half hours. When we brought the glasses inside, I felt the water temperatures with my fingers. The water in the white glass was cold whilst the black one was much warmer. The reason that the black one was warmer was because of this: light energy can be converted into heat energy. A black object absorbs all wavelengths of light and converts them into heat, so the object gets warm. A light coloured object reflects the wavelengths  of light so it doesn't get as warm. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First I filled up 2 glasses with equal amount of water. Than I wrapped a white paper around one of the glasses, using an elastic band to hold it tight and a black paper around the other glass. I left the glasses out in the sun in the back yard for two hours. Afterwards, when I went back to check the temperatures, I found out that the black paper glass was hotter than the white one. The water in the white glass had a temperature of 32.5°c and the water in the black glass had a temperature of 33.6°c. We know that dark surfaces/colours, such as the black paper glass absorb more light and heat than the white paper glass. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Luca Schembri 6.5<br><br>Today Tuesday was a sunny day  and i have done  my little experiment using light energy (sun) to convert heat energy on an object.  First i had to paint a paper in black and wait till it comes dry.  Then i wrapped the black paper around a glass of water and a white paper around another filled with the same amount of water.  After 3 hours in the sun, the temperature was much warmer then the other this is because the more colour is intense the more absorption of light goes through it. Did you know how much a black car absorbs heat than any other colour? </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kimberley Anne Farrugia 6.2<br><strong><br>I did the experiment today because today is sunny and yesterday was cloudy.<br></strong><br></div><div><br>I did not have any coloured papers available at home so I used a white plastic disposable glass and another identical glass which I painted black with poster colour.  I took 2 glasses and filled them up with tap water.  I left the 2 glasses outside in the garden for about 2 hours.  The temperature in both glasses at the start of the experiment was at 24 degrees each.  After 2 full hours the black cup was warmer than the other.  The  white cup remained at 24 degrees whilst the black cup was at 26 degrees.<br><br>Thank you</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is how I carried out this experiment:<br>1. I covered the 2 glasses in black crepe paper and white tissue paper, and filled with the same amount of water.<br>2. I placed in the sun form 8.00am to 12.00pm.<br>3. I measured their temperature with a glass thermometer.<br>4. The results are, the black glass was 24 °C and the white glass was 22°C, and it was not a very sunny day.<br>So it definitely makes sense why it would be a better idea buying a white car instead of a black one, using a light coloured tent or umbrella for some shade in the sun instead of a dark one, and wearing white clothes in Summer. <br><br>Thank You! </div>]]></description>

I left them for two hours on the roof. I didn't have a thermometer so I used my finger. The one  with the black plastic bag  was warmer than the one with the white  paper. </div>]]></description>
