This 18-day CEP resulted in contacting 21,382 voters and identifying 18,243 voters who supported corporate accountability and billionaires paying their fair share in taxes (85% ID Rate). Additionally, we re-contacted 1,978 voters to remind them to vote in the final days of the election in our GOTV phase of the work.

This CEP aimed to reconnect with individuals engaged during the March 2024 CEP, integrating them into our organizational partner’s networks in preparation for the 2024 election cycle. June-July 2024 Black Men's Listening Session

The Black Men listening session was to create a safe and inclusive space for Black voices to be heard, stories to be shared, and ideas to be exchanged. Through active listening and open dialogue, we aim to identify the needs, aspirations, and challenges of our community, and explore ways to collectively shape a brighter future. Held 34 individual sessions for 2 part series, engaging a total of 411 participants. August-2024 "Fall CEP"

CBPN Organizations throughout the make phone calls, organizing efforts against Prop 36 and in support of Prop 5. We contacted over 60,000 voters across the state during the CEP.

Dec. EOY Regional Meeting

The California Black Power Network (CBPN) actively engaged in various end of year across San Diego, Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and the Bay Area. In collaboration with network members, CBPN organized regional meetings to discuss all of the goals we met in 2024 and inform CBPN's policy proposals for 2025.

Leading in the Fight to End Slavery in CA

CBPN’s role in the statewide coalition that successfully pushed for a constitutional amendment to end slavery, resulting in ACA 8 being placed on the ballot as Proposition 6.

Advancing Reparations in CA

CBPN championed several critical reparations bills that not only passed through the legislature but were also signed into law by the Governor. These include: a formal apology, expanded protections against discrimination and stronger enforcement against bias in maternal healthcare.

Leading the Charge - Prop 36 is LIE!

Flexed power in the legislature and during the election taking a major role in the statewide coalition that successfully placed a constitutional amendment to end slavery on the ballot, and supported the statewide campaign to push back on Prop 36.
