This is the very basic level of technology integration. The teacher begins to introduce technology into the curriculum to teach the content.

- An example of this could be an instructor/teacher using an interactive whiteboard to share the objectives of the lesson or an overview of the content for the week. https://youtu.be/gqlxmq7_zI4
- With this model in mind, entry level integration may be difficult in an active learning environment where information should be actively engaging and not passively delivered as suggested. It may also be difficult within collaborative learning environments where individual students use technology. According to the matrix, teachers introduce the technology.

At this level of integration, the teacher directs students in the conventional or traditional and procedural use of technology tools.
- An example of this could be a teacher explaining to students how to utilize powerpoint or another technology tool to share information. I have seen my daughter's science teacher introduce powerpoint to the class so that the students can utilize the tool later to present information to their classmates.
- This level of integration could be difficult within collaborative learning environments where the teacher does not lead but the students are collaborating or constructing their learning.

- At this level of the technology integration, the teacher encourages the innovative or creative use of technology tools to encourage higher-order learning activities that are possibly not available without the use of technology.

- This integration of technology is appropriate for authentic learning environments and goal directed learning environments. This integration is also appropriate for active, collaborative, and constructive environments

- This level of technology integration is possibly difficult in lower level classrooms like Pre K- 1st grade classrooms where they may need more teacher led and assisted instruction.

- An example of this may be a teacher allowing students to use technology to research and create a presentation

1. What factors work well in this model ? This model allows for different levels of integration depending on the learning environment. This model also keeps in mind if the classroom is led by teachers or students

2. What factors or steps are ineffective or need to be updated? The only step I see as one that may be most difficult to implement in today's classroom is the entry level. Most classrooms today suggest a collaborative environment with more student involved learning environments.

3. What professional setting will this model work well with. This model will be best utilized in environments where there are opportunities of collaboration and independent learning. Where professionals can work independently or in groups, utilizing technology to propose projects or activities. This would be appropriate in educational settings that also allow independent and collaborative engagement and learning. This would not be appropriate in Montessori learning environments.

4. Which contexts will TIM be ineffective from one's experience?

Any context that is learner or student directed only like Montessori learning environments would be one that TIM would be ineffective. Also any work environment like computer programming or environments where there is no opportunity for collaboration and constructivism would be one that TIM would be ineffective.
