There is this inspirational saying I think about when I try something for the very first time. This saying, by Henry Ford, goes; "One who fears failure limits his activities. Failure is only the opportunity to more intelligently begin again." In other words, by failing and overcoming, it will motivate more students to work harder at the concepts that do not come quickest to them. As teachers, we must help students realize that if they fail they must try again with a positive attitude. This will retrain a generation to see that failure goes hand in hand with success.

~ If a student learns with a fixed mindset they are more likely to become overwhelmed when faced with difficult concepts in their school environment. They see themselves as immeasurable when compared to the students who understand certain disciplines faster than they do.
~ If we, as teachers, cultivate the concept of a growth mindset our students are more likely to rise to the challenge when it comes to concepts they may find harder. Developing a growth mindset is important because students come to see that with enough grit and perseverance they can tackle the hardest of school subjects.

I think that this is due to the fact that 21st century learners are growing up with technology in and outside of the classroom.
~ Twenty-First century learners' views of education will change because of the growth mindset ideology. When we implement technology on top of having a growth mindset we are setting up our students for success in school and in the real-world. While most argue that technology declines attention spans, decreases creativity, and erodes social skills...
