I'm thinking about taking students to the Kaohsiung Zoo. At the zoo, students could complete an “Animal Treasure Hunt.” Teachers can give students clues and sentence patterns, such as “A/An ___ can fly” or “A/An ___ has a long red beak.” Students need to find the correct animals and fill in the sentences. Afterwards, they can present their findings to the class.

I'm particularly proud of the strong cooperation within our team. We shared ideas openly and worked together to make the sharing meaningful and engaging. TEAM RED RULES! Moreover, based on peer feedback, I would adapt the way I speak by slowing down to make it easier for everyone to follow and understand.

Lastly, I want my students to try being English tour guides, because it not only helps them use English in real-life situations and build confidence, but also broadens their horizons beyond just the language itself.

This is quite different from schools in Taiwan, where teachers often need to raise their voices or even lose their temper to manage student discipline. I think Morton Bay College may have a different support system in place to assist teachers.

What are you most proud of?
I'm really happy that I didn’t feel nervous when presenting today. Everything went smoothly, and the feedback I received from my peers was very positive.

What might you do differently next time?
Next time, I will work on adjusting my speaking speed and grammar. I’ll also try to give clearer instructions.

What questions still remain for you?
I’m still wondering how to better differentiate my instructions to support students with different English levels. I’d also like to know how to manage timing more effectively during activities.
