However, when he went back to school, Garrett told Roy that Dana called in sick. Rumours had gone around the school and Roy was now known to be rough. Roy went to find out more about the blonde haired girl known as Beatrice Leep that hacked off at him. Officer Delinko woke up early in the morning to scout the construction site. While he was looking around, he happened to find some burrowing owls. Unfortunately, he accidentally ended up taking a quick little snooze in his car. Officer Delinko wakes up to noises from his dispatcher's radio. He finds out that all his windows had been sprayed with black paint. Back at Trace Middle, Roy confronts Beatrice and walks up to her during lunchtime. Roy wants to handle things in a civilised manner and even tells her in front of her friends. Beatrice was in a state of shock. After school, Roy went to visit Dana's house to pass him the apology note and met Dana's mother who was just like Dana.

In the early grey hours of morning, Officer Delinko dozed off. He woke up a couple hours later with his windows painted in. At first he thinks that he actually slept until the next night, until he gets out of his car. When he saw his windows his jaw nearly hit the floor. And right next to him was Curly, the bald foreman yelling at him for dozing off. David was incredibly nervous about the Captain finding out about this. He just didn't know what to do.

Roy was worried about what Dana would do to him when he went back to school.However, Dana was so badly injured that he had to stay at home, which made the other kids in school think that Roy is a tough guy as no one had ever slugged Dana before. After school Roy decided to pay Dana a visit to his house to pass him the apology letter that he wrote.

On Monday, Roy found out from Garret that Dana was not in school as he claimed to be sick. Everybody in Trace Middle was talking about how Roy stood up to Dana. Roy then found out that Beatrice Leep was the name of the blonde haired girl who hacked off at him.
Officer Delinko was eager to scout the construction site in the early morning as he wanted to become a detective but was stuck with traffic enforcement duty. After circling the blocks several times, he caught sight of a pair of burrowing owls. He fell asleep after a while but woke up due to the crackling of his radio, and learnt that his car windows had been spray painted black.
The next day, Roy confronted Beatrice as he wanted to settle any issues she had with him in a civilised manner. -Roy was made to stay home the whole weekend
- While on the way to school, Roy was worried that Dana might do something to him but luckily Garrett told him that Dana was called in sick.
-After the incident, everyone in school have been talking about Roy being tough which he is not fond of.
-Roy then asks Garrett who the tall blonde girl is
- Roy then find out that her name is Beatrice Leep and that she shouldnt be messed with.
-Officer Delinko looked forward to getting up early to scout the construction site as he was intrigued by the continuing pattern of mischief at the construction of Mother Paula's Pancake House which he thinks that there is more than meets than eye
-Officer Delinko arrived at the site when it was still dark, he then parked the car next to the trailer and waiting for the sun to rise, suddenly he saw movement which then he saw a pair of burrowing owls which interested him.
- Soon later, Officer Delinko nodded off against the car window due to not bringing his coffee.
- He woke up to radio crackle of the dispatcher's voice and Curly knocking on the window which scared him
- He got out and saw that all of the car's windows have been sprayed with black paint.
- Back at Trace Middle School, Roy decides to confront Beatrice and walks right up to her at lunchtime. 
- He wants to handle things civilly and tells her so in front of her friends and teammates however,She was stunned into silence.
- After school Roy stops by Dana's house to hand deliver the apology note that he was ordered to write and Roy  Met Dana's mom.

•After the school bus incident, everyone in school have been talking about Roy
•Roy asks Garrett who the tall girl with curly blonde hair and red glasses was
•Roy finds out that her name is Beatrice Leap and that she is a major soccer jock.
•Officer Delinko was intrigued by the continuous pattern of mischief at Mother Paula's Pancake House
•Officer Delinko's long term career goal was to become a detective. He felt that the Mother Paula case was the chance to show that he was capable of being a detective. 
•Officer Delinko circled the block three times and saw nothing unusual. 
•After dawn, he parked the car next to Leroy Branitt's work trailer. Soon he started to nod off
•He woke up after the dispatcher asked for his location. He noticed that the outside was darker
•Officer Delinko found out that someone sprayed all the windows of his squad car with black paint. The survey sticks on the construction site were also dug up.
•Roy confronted Beatrice during lunchtime 
•Roy paid Garrett to get Dana's address.
•Roy went up to Dana's house and was greeted by Mrs Matherson. He asked to see Dana and soon Dana arrived at door. Roy was shocked to see that his punch caused so much damage.
•Roy gave Dana his apology letter
