Description:Green turtle is a rare icon in the Great Barrier Reef. It comes from the family 'Cheloniide'. The sea turtles are found in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Size and weight: Green turtles grow between 91 to 122cm and weigh between 136 to 159 kg. Adult green turtles eat seagrasses and algae.Green turtles can live up till 60 to 70 years.
Diet/Habitat: Green sea turtles feed from worms, young crustaceans, aquatic insects, grasses and algae. Green sea turtles live near the coastline and islands. Mostly can be found in areas with seagrass beds.
Affects of Plastic Pollution: 
Plastic bags is a threat to sea turtles as they confuse this for food in which gets stuck in their stomach. An estimated 8 million metric tons of plastics enter the ocean every year. Plastic floating in the ocean is called miscroplastic. Sharp plastics are a threat to sea turtles as once entering their internal organs and bags this results to intestinal blockages leaving the turtles unable to feed.
