         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>- dramatic arrival of inspector in Act 1 (use of sound effect of door) breaks the opening smug/cosy/arrogant/'smug' ambiance&nbsp; - to shatter the middle class bubble<br><br><br>- interrogation style - chronological (important to tell Eva's story); blunt, direct (tension/conflict)<br><br>- high climax in Act 3 before he leaves - making point about world conflict, death and destruction happening if people don't change their ways and become more socially responsible.</div>]]></description>

His name - Goole, connotes death and ghosts and all.<br><br><br>3. However, he has apparent foresight, he appears to know when Eric will come back in, he furiously presses the point that they have to hurry up, perhaps because he knows the real inspector will arrive soon. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>4.
