The experience from visiting Island Concrete and their site was certainly a unique and interesting one, as i learned about valuable insights and captivating facts about the process of making concrete. I also learned about the different types of concrete and how different grades have different uses, which is certainly fascinating to learn about.

Going for the site visit was an insightful experience. While we may not be physically handling the concrete like how the workers at the site do, I believe that it is important to get a glimpse of what they do on a daily basis. This is to deepen the understanding of the industry and potentially improving the way we can market for them.

With this i gain a new appreciation for concrete. Even though the material seems very common and very easy to get. Many, like me, overlooked the importance and care that goes into making it. this learning journey was an eye opening experience as our course and what we do daily is different from construction. BTS of concrete making and transportation allows me to understand and appreciate the industry more. Concrete, as a common material in construction, i never knew there were so many types of concrete or how each of them were formed. One interesting fact I would never have knew if not of this LJ was that concrete could play a part in sustainability.

The Island Concrete Production Learning Journey was an eye-opening experience for me. While we often see their trucks on the road, we didn’t have a clear understanding of what it’s like to work at a concrete production site or how concrete is made with different raw materials.

Through this learning journey, I gained deeper insight into the production process and how operations run on a daily basis. Observing the different stages of concrete production was fascinating, and it was enlightening to see how everything functions together. We got to observe the workers' daily tasks, such as monitoring the strength of the concrete and determining the appropriate amount of cement to use in the batching plant.

Overall, I developed a greater appreciation for the importance of concrete in our society and how it is utilised in our daily lives.

This learning journey was super fun and made me step out of my comfort zone. It was a very unique experience and we are lucky to be able to experience it. It is a completely different industry compared to sra/elh/l-qube.

Before this learning journey, i had zero idea about the concrete and industry. It was interesting to learn how the company plans out the whole process. From the sales department to the quality control and to the ones delivering, it is a eye opening experience. It also occured to me on how, a building or a common structure we see in our daily life, has such a in depth process.
