Over the years, the food portions have tremendously increased. The calories and ingredients slowly got more and artificial. When I eat at a restaurant here, I usually have enough to eat for a few days. When I go to another country (like India), the food portion is enough for just one meal. It tastes authentic and not artificial. I think we should really start to reduce the portion sizes or else the future generations will be in danger.

Food Portions have drastically increased over the years due to increased overall wealth of people. Restraunts are giving bigger portion sizes for more money. Manufacturers are also learning to trick people with portion sizes. On a Gatorade bottle, it says there are 13 grams of sugar and 80 calories, but most people don't notice that they lables the 20oz bottle as 2.5 servings of 8oz. Therefore, the Calorie count is 200 and the ADDED SUGAR count is 34 grams of ADDED SUGARS. The foods that suprised me the most were the plate of fries. How could companies get away with increasing portion sizes that much, almost three times the original serving sizes.
