         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Blank verse-  Blank verse is unrhymed iambic pentameter.  Iambic pentameter refers to the meter of a line of poetry. The line has 10 syllables, and the emphasis on the syllables alternates-every other syllable is stressed.<br><br>2. Soliloquy-  A speech in a drama in which a character tells the audience how he feels by talking to himself. <br><br>3. Dramatic irony-  Irony that is inherent in speeches or a situation of a drama and is understood by the audience but not grasped by the characters in the play.<br><br>4. Foreshadowing- The  use of indicative word or phrases and hints that set the stage for a story to unfold and give the reader a hint of something that is going to happen without revealing the story or spoiling the suspense.<br><br>5. Hubris- Hubris is extreme pride and arrogance shown by a character that ultimately brings about his downfall. <br><br>6. Catharsis- A Catharsis is an emotional discharge through which one can achieve a state of moral or spiritual renewal or achieve a state of liberation from anxiety and stress.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.blank verse- unrhymed iambic pentameter- noble characters mostly speak in unrhymed iambc pentameter.<br>Ex. ba-dum, ba-Dum, ba-Dum, ba-Dum, ba-Dum<br><br>2.soliloquy- an act of speaking one's thoughts and not caring who's listening or hears.<br>Ex."she should have died hereafter"<br><br>3. dramatic irony- the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite.<br>Ex. ducan says he trust macbeth and the audience knows that macbeths is expecting to become king. macbeth is not trustworthy. <br><br>4. foreshadowing- be a warning or indication of a future event.<br>Ex. the witches tel macbeth that he will be made thane of cawdor and then king of scotland.<br><br>5.hubris- excessive pride or self confidence.<br>Ex. despite his fearless character in battle, macbeth is concerned y the prophecies of the witches.<br><br>6.catharsis- the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from,, strong or repressed  emotions .<br>Ex. macbeth was blinded by his destructive preoccuation with ambition.</div>]]></description>
