The last performance I was a part of was during the SEED show in the fall of 2022. This performance allowed me to remember the feelings connected to performing. Since it was one of the first performances in front of a crowd since my senior year of high school I was exhilarated to have those giddy nerves and adrenaline pumping through my body again. This performance gave me the gift of reminiscing on past performances and how each one is unique and experimental.

This process was a fulfilling approach to challenging authenticity, vulnerability, and honesty. The short time we had with Ido to construct this piece taught me a lot about my body and how honest I had to be with myself and with the cast. The open space that Ido created was great for allowing us to explore what this movement really meant to us. Even though this process was short there was a lot of time to cultivate a certain quality about this movement, a calm, present and authentic approach to performance. My body definitely reacted to the intensity of the few days working with Ido but I feel that this recuperation period will allow me to come back even stronger. I am grateful to have been pushed by Ido when it came to vulnerability and connection. There were moments for all of us in this piece that created a sense of nervousness or uncomfort but by allowing us to work through it to embody the final product was not only integral to portraying the piece but also our authentic selves.
