I observed a very well-run class - students were respectful and quiet - listening and engaging with teacher - and that reflects the respect that the teacher is showing to them - Laura seeks out student engagement and participation - indicating her faith and understanding that students know how to answer questions. She referenced multiple times how a student did a great job talking about time stamp as an indicator of pretérito and imperfect as not having it - using information from their lives to make sense of grammar.

This showed a community building approach to improving study practices. QQT - they changed verbs and papers to practice preterite verbs. This showed great collaboration. Everyone participated. The rotating roles activity was a great exercise to build vocabulary and sentence building.

Lucky reader was a fun reading activity where students had to trust each other and be encouraging. Students had to be respectful and encouraging of each other.

Really clear instructions and check-in, super impressive resource and lots of time spent reviewing content, asking questions about understanding and what was difficult, etc. Really fun to observe and clearly engaging and pushing students to do more/express themselves.
